The waterfall lept from the towering stone cliff like a great silver beast, stretching its watery talons skyward before plummeting and merging into the pool beneath. Its sinuous muscles tensed and relaxed with fluid grace and its sleek, shimmering skin reflected the morning sunlight with blinding brilliance. On occasions it would fling its mane out with extra force sending a spectacular spray of its cool, hair-thin tendrils into the air. It dove continuously into the trembling mirror covering the depths of the den it had dug into the rocky ground over the years. It then settled into the murky abode, stretching its great liquid paws on the shore, restless even in its rest.

Moldy and Circle sat on the sandy shores, letting the tips of the beast's cool, wet claws graze their feet, watching its neverending leap.

"I'm bored," Moldy sighed, staring into her reflection, already tired of watching the waterfall's spectacular display of agility.

"What do you want to do?" Circle asked as he sat beside her, examining the veins of a fallen leaf. Was he just imagining it or was there a chill in the breeze this morning that had not been present yesterday?

"I don't know... there's not much I can do with one hand..." She sighed, chucking a rock into the pool.

"We could... uh..." Circle contemplated for a minute, "I don't know... maybe we could go ask the others if they have any ideas?"

"Why not I guess," Moldy shrugged, hopping to her feet, followed by Circle. The two made their way back to the main clearing, padding down the grass that was busy soaking up the sun's slowly strengthening rays.

Contact Lens and Tray were sitting together beside the fire pit, cautiously picking up some of the curious looking soot and giggling at the way it turned their hands black. They turned and began using their fingers to smear it and draw on the log bench behind them.

Subway Seat and Atom were chatting together a short distance away.

"So wait... dirt is made of more than just dirt?" Subway Seat asked, wowed by such a revelation.

"Yeah, dirt is made of a lot of different things," Atom piped up happily, eager to be interesting.

"How can you tell? It looks all the same to me, just brown stuff." Subway Seat questioned.

"I can just... see the different parts. They are all different sizes and feels very different." Atom explained. He hopped slightly to the side, "This one right here is pretty big but doesn't feel very strong... aaaaaaand this one over here is small but pulls pretty strong."

"Pulls? What does that mean?"

"Y'know, the pull. How much it wants me to attach to it."

"Attach? I'm a bit confused..."

"Hmmmm... maybe you don't feel it since you're a lot bigger... it's just that all the different things either want me to attach to them, or they push me away, and some of them don't pull or push at all. It all depends on what they are and what's around them."

"Huh, I don't really understand, but that sounds really neat!" Subway Seat smiled enthusiastically, "It's really cool that you're small enough to see and feel all that stuff!"
