Chapted Thirty-Four

Loki's POV

A knock sounds at the door. This is the worst possible time for guests. I turn back to my regular form as does Natalia. I open the door to see Thor.

"Yes?" I ask with a hint of irritation.

"Sorry to wake you brother, but I wanted to talk with you. You allowed my Midgaurdian friends to attend even when you did not agree with them once. So I thank you," He says. I smile and Thor walks off.

I walk back to bed to see Natalia asleep. I smile and kiss her forehead as I climb in next to her. She stirs and I pull her against me.

"Goodnight, love." I say quietly.

Natalia's POV

I wake up and look over to realize.  I was in Loki's bed. I smile, remembering the previous night. He lays on his back and his head faces away from me. I run my fingers through his soft hair and sigh. I was so lucky to be engaged to this wonderful man. He stirs and looks over at me.

"Hello, darling." He says, his voice still husky from sleep.

"Good morning. How are you?" I ask. He grabs my waist and pulls me against him before kissing me.

"Wonderful," He smirks and I slap his chest playfully.

"I have to go get ready for today. I say we just roam the halls today," I propose.

"Let's just stay here instead," He says and pulls me closer as I try and escape.

"Fine. You want to play like that?" I say. I feel my body heat up so much my eyes turn gold and my skin starts to turn. I face him to see him blue and looking at me with red eyes.

"You won't win that way darling. You should also be grateful this room is enchanted. Otherwise you would have burned a hole in my bed," He says. I huff and change back.

"Alright, fine. We can stay." I say. He pulls me closer and I suddenly disappear. Standing by the bed. He looks at me shocked before smirking again.

"Sly girl. But remember who helped you learn," He says. I feel someone grab me from behind and I see the Loki I'm staring at dissolve.

"No fair!" I say and laugh.

"I don't care!" He laughs with me.

I turn around in his grasp and kiss him. He pulls back and let's me go. I turn and hug him. I sit back on the bed and be lays his head in my lap.

"I love you," I say.

"As do I, love."

"I adore when you call me that," I say while I comb my fingers through his hair.

"I know. It's my reason for doing it," He says.

"How did you know I liked that pet-name?" I ask.

He reaches up and cups my face, barley brushing his thumb over my eyelashes. "Those eyes. Every time I call you love. Your eyes seem to flash."

"As long as you didn't try to get into my head," I say.

"Never dear. Except when I desire to," He says. I hit his arm.

"Loki!"

"I don't do it often, love. I know you very well, I can read you easily sometimes." He says and plays with my fingers.

"As can I, and you're known as the God of Lies." I respond.

"Fair enough."

We sit in bed for some time. Talking to each other, enjoying our time. We talk of our future, and what we wish for most.

"So my dear. I have something to tell you," Loki says.

"Yes?"

"Go get ready and come back here. I have a surprise," He says.

"Alright."

I smile and teleport back to my room.

I decide in putting my hair into a high pony tail and minimal make-up. I slip in a white dress that falls to the floor beautifully. I head out again and see a note taped to Loki's door addressed to me.

Hello my darling,

Being the trickster god, I decided to play a game. You will tour the castle to find my notes and eventually you'll find me. The notes will contain riddled hints. I believe you clever enough to figure them out. Here's the first,

Where does the Shepard look over his sheep?

I think. A Shepard must be high up to look over the entire flock. The castle is already high up, but the Shepard is also the authority. Then it hits me. The throne.

I make my way around the halls until I get the the throne. I see another note attached to it. I open it up.

My sweet Natalia,

Good job, love. But that was a bit simplistic. The next hint is,

Where does one find the answer to everything?

The answer to everything? I'm not sure. I think. Where does one get any answer he or she desires? It haves to be somewhere with a variety of concepts. I got it, the library.
