52.Grayson

I hit the punching bag in front of me harder and faster as I tuned out the world around me. I didn't want to be back but I had shit I had to do and I couldn't hold off forever. "Gray! Grayson." Enzo yelled as he grabbed my shoulders and pulled me back from the punching bag.

"What! Fucking what!" I yelled as I looked at him. My chest puffed as I breathed heavily and my jaw clenched. He stood firm in front of me.

"I get you're pissed off but don't you dare forget who fucking made you. Don't ever speak to me like that again." I rolled my eyes and pushed past him. I sat on the bench in my home gym and started to undo my wraps.

"What's up." I said in a softer tone but still with a hint of frustration.

"Well for starters I was speaking to you and you randomly tuned me out." I grabbed my water and poured a little on myself 

"My music must have been too loud" I had one headphone in. I could have heard him had I been paying attention. 

He stood up and grabbed my arm forcing me to face him. "I asked where the hell you went. Why the hell you didn't speak to anyone. Why the fuck you're so fucking angry."

"It's none of your business all of it is none of your business."

"When I'm your best friend it is. When I gave you my legacy to run and you run away from it it is my business so talk."

I took a deep breath to calm myself "I was in Japan just calming myself. I didn't speak to anyone because I don't have to I'm the leader now and people do what I tell the to even if I'm not there in person. I'm so fucking angry because the world is nothing but cruel and all I can do about it is take it." my voice got progressively louder as I spoke. 

"Gray I don't get it. You were fine after the break up...maybe not fine but it wasn't killing you like this. I know you don't hate Ale because you saved his life and didn't leave the hospital till you knew he was alive. Why did you run when he woke up."

"You weren't there...when he was held hostage. You didn't see what I saw you didn't hear what he said to me or the way he looked at Nick. You just don't understand."

"What did he say." I opened my mouth but words just couldn't come out "Gray?" Enzos voice was soft and worried. 

"I can't I-i can't tell you...you should leave I have someone coming over soon."

"Business." I didn't answer "My god Grayson." I rolled my eyes "You're just going to fuck your way out of unhappiness?"

"It worked before any of this stupid shit with Ale."

"Stupid shit? You fucking loved him!" I pushed him off of me

"You're not in my fucked up brain Enzo I didn't love him! He was fun sure but I'm done with that shit I tried relationships and you know what came of it? I got fucked over."

"You loved him. If you admit it or not you know that's true. No one looks at someone they don't love the way you look at him. No one speaks about someone thats just fun the way you spoke about him. You're not going to be happy again by having random people over. You need to have a hard looking in the fucking mirror and figure out your fucking problems"

"Enzo...this is none of your business. I'm done hurting. He made me think that settling down was something I was capable of. He made me believe I was better than what my father made me out to be. I felt like I could make my mom proud of me because I was with someone that through all the fucked up shit was a good person. Then he left me for a man who ended up trying to kill us both."

"Didn't you say it was you or Nick."

"Yeah and It wasn't fucking me. He was happy...with Nick. Even after claiming he loved me he was happy and committed to Nick I knew it when I saved him.  Everything he built with me he decided to tear down when he didn't pick me. I don't care what you guys have been saying maybe he is sorry maybe he does love me but I lost sight of who I was when he and I were together and I won't waste my time like that again."

I opened the door of the gym to walk away but before I turned the corner to my room I hear Enzo  yell "You were a better person with him."
