I was sitting in my home office when I heard a knock on my door. I assumed it was Matteo so I yelled for him to come in "Hey handsome" I smiled at the voice and looked up to see Nick 

"Hello there." he smiled back at me as he walked to the side of my desk I was on and sat on the edge "What are you doing here so late?"

"I wanted to take you out." I raised my eyebrow 

"Take me out?...Like on a date?"

He leaned in closer to me "If you want it to be" he whispered as he licked his lips. It took me awhile to get over Gray. If I'm being honest with myself I'm not over him. The love I had- the love I have for Gray is overwhelming. But I saw how he interacted with me at our meeting he's done with me. 

I needed to move on or I'd be stuck on him forever. Besides Nick was who I wanted to marry all those years ago no reason I shouldn't give it another shot "Okay let's go out...on a date." 

His smile was wide "That's my boy" he held his hand out for me to grab and I did "I'm hoping you didn't eat yet I made us a reservation at that Mexican place you like over on 5th."

"You made reservations" I stopped and giggled "What if I had said no?"

"Ale there's one thing I'm really really good at and it's reading people. I knew it was the right time to ask you out."

"What gave it away?" I started to follow him again as he made his way out of my home 

"You put those pictures of Grayson away." he looked over to where I had had a picture of us on the mantel in my living room "Those pictures were only cute because you were in it. I can't believe you dated someone like him. He's so opposite of me so not hot enough for you." I let go of his hand and stopped. 

Gray had black hair and green eyes were as Nick had blonde hair and brown eyes. Gray's skin was tan and Nick's was fair. Both were unbelievably handsome in my eyes "Nick don't speak about him like that."

"Hey come on now you're done with him I'm just poking fun no harm."

"Yeah well I don't fucking like you saying shit about him. He was a good boyfriend and a good friend. Don't ever bring him up again. Understand." 

Nick put his hands up in defense "Okay I understand. I'm sorry baby." I swallowed a lump in my throat. Gray called me baby. 

As Nick grabbed ahold of my hand again I realized how hard the night was going to be. I wanted it to work out with Nick so badly. I did still love him, but Gray had my heart. He had my mind and my soul and I don't know how I'm not an absolute mess right now over losing him. 

"Where you going?" I heard Matteo say as he peeked out of his room. 

"Nick and I are grabbing dinner."

"It's a date" Nick cut me off and he smiled at Matt. I smiled as well. I liked seeing Nick happy about it. 

God I'm an emotional rollercoaster and I have no idea what I want "A date?" Matt said with a raised eyebrow 

"Yes now go do your homework Matt." I said as I tried to shoo him away. He rolled his eyes and pulled out his phone and started typing quickly before walking back into his room. 

He wasn't as much of a fan as Nick as he was when he was younger. Bella on the other hand was so happy to have Nick back. She even flew in last month to go to lunch with us. She still spoke to Gray often I knew that. Enzo had told me. I was glad to know someone was checking in on him.

When Nick and I got to the restaurant they escorted us to the rooftop which Nick had booked out for us to have privately "How the hell did you manage this Nicky?"

He wrapped an arm around my waist "It wasn't easy but money will get you far." I raised an eyebrow. As far as I knew he wasn't working and his family didn't have all that much "I've been picking up a couple of odd jobs around town. Juts stuff to keep me busy while you work."

"Well thank you this is amazing"

I walked over to the railing to look over at the view of the city. I took in a deep breath and followed the cars with my eyes. I thought about all the cool cars Matt would have as soon as he moved out and I smiled. "What are you looking at."

"Just the traffic. All these people are going somewhere special and we have no idea where." he chuckled and hugged me from behind.

"You're so beautiful Ale." I closed my eyes and leaned into him "I'm so glad we're back. We lost so much time but I promise I will never ever leave you again. It's you and me Ale just how it was always meant to be." 

"I'm really glad you gave me a second chance Nick."

I felt him smile "I love you." he leaned down and kissed me softly. Before I knew it the kiss grew passionately and my hands were in his hair. After a few moments of making out we stumbled backwards and he caught me before I could fall. 

We stepped away from the ledge both of us chuckling. "Let's go sit down." I said with a smile and he nodded
