"Ling will kill me if I don't go and tell her what happened, I told her to get some rest and that I would take over but if she finds out I didn't tell her what happened she'd kill me so let me just go and get her and I'll be right back, noey is on her way okay" Orm says

I nod as I cross my arms and drop my head back, I am so exhausted, stressed, worried and anxious, I don't know why I'm imagining the worst right now. What if I took her to America and she was healed in no time?

Did I make a mistake allowing nop and his staff to operate on her?

No I trust nop, but right now I don't know what to think, I just want Freen healthy and back to normality.

I couldn't help but shake my legs anxiously waiting for results.

I just closed my eyes and prayed helplessly, I was mad, mad that it had to be us to go through this, it had to be my Freen suffering. I don't wish that upon anyone and I hated that it had to be Freen, if it had to be anyone I rather it be me, I would take the pain from her any day.

A while later ling rushes in with Orm, I was sat with noey and Irin.

"Did the doctors update you?"

"No I haven't even seen nop" I reply without even looking up

"I got this from Freen's cupboard, it's her wedding ring" Ling says to me as she puts it in my hand

I breathe out a little cry as I look at her wedding ring, remembering how shocked she was, I saved up, worked extra shifts at work, I began working 2/3 jobs, I wanted to buy her this specific ring even though she didn't want me spending so much money, my aim was so give her something special and this ring I worked my ass off to get when I didn't make that much money before. I remember Orm and I were jumping with excitement the day we got it because I thought it was impossible.

Now I have everything but Freen being here with me, safe.

Her fingers are so small, I hold the ring tightly in my hand as I await results.

After hours of waiting nop walks to us

"Congratulations" before he finished his sentence ling screamed so loud and jumped on Orm.

"We removed all the cancer cells, Freen still needs after care, this is all due to your all hard work on getting her back on track"

I didn't even care I grabbed Nop and kissed him so aggressively on the forehead, he laughed as all my friends were jumping and celebrating, we all shared hugs between us as for the first time in a long time a big fat pile of stress just blew off my shoulders.

We did it.

"Guys they have other patients shhhhh" Irin says realising we were celebrating too loud

"Nah fuck this I'm getting a mariachi band, do you realise what this means, FREEN doesn't have cancer anymore, she's BETTER, BECKY you'll have your happy ending, THIS IS YOUR HAPPY ENDING" Orm excitedly says as she shakes my shoulders I couldn't contain my shock and happiness

"Can we go and see her?"

"Yes you all can, she's awake, just very tired, she's still on heavy medication so just be aware, she's in room 504 I don't know why you guys are sitting outside 105" Nop says as we all raise our lips confused as hell

Where the hell have we been sitting

"Run" Ling says as we all begin racing to Freen's room excitedly.

The burst of happiness and euphoria that just shines within us was a moment to remember, we ran into Freen's room as she already had like she heard us running to her room.

"I take you all heard the news" she smiles

I left the hospital as I excitedly rush to get Freen so many gifts, I bought her celebration balloons, I gave to charity, i was so thankful god gave my wife a second chance.

My wife?

She's going to be my wife again.

I checked my phone and I had so many miss calls from Freen.

"where did you rush off too? Are you going on another business trip?" She still sounds so weak but I felt so happy hearing her voice

"I'm coming madam. what do you feel like eating?"

"I don't want to eat I want you to come back" hearing her want me just made me feel so good as if I needed to hear that

"Im coming in 5 minutes"

I changed my clothes and rushed to the hospital with bags full of gifts, when I enter the room it's filled with all of Freen's friends, family members

Are they allowed the whole of Thailand in one room I'm sure there's a visitors limit.

Right it's nop's hospital.

Freen's face lit up when I walked in, the last time I saw Freen's mom was when we were married.

"Becky did you know she had this illness this silly girl"

"I found out late Miss Chankimkha otherwise I would of told you, she kept it from me too" I look at Freen as she rolls her eyes followed by a smile

"If you ever do anything that stupid again I swear Freen" Her mother says as she takes a deep breath and then kisses her head

"Freen told me that you 3 were the reason she survived, thank you" She nods at lingling Orm and I.

"Me? I didn't really do as much as these two did" Orm shrugs

"No she did, she was really supportive and she accepted that lingling moved to New Zealand, you stayed patient and you were always there first us when things got too much and for that I owe you Orm, please don't say you didn't do as much, you did a lot" Freen genuinely smiles at her

"Fuck I'm gonna cry, it's okay, anytime freen, I mean not anytime, don't get sick again like seriously um I'm always here"

"Babe your just digging yourself a hole it's okay"

We all erupt into a laughter

"Can I talk to you outside?" I whisper to Freen's father

"Sure"

As we leave, I didn't have to do this but I did it before and to keep up with tradition

"I want to ask for freen's hand in marriage"

"You don't have to ask me, I've trusted you with my daughter since the day i met you, I know your genuine and she didn't even tell me about this whole cancer situation, but the moment I found out you were here I felt relieved because I know you love her, go for it Becky" he smiled

"I'm going to re propose to my Freen again"
