The morning after their date, Catnap and Dogday found themselves back in the familiar halls of the factory, but something had undeniably shifted between them. They didn't talk about it immediately, but the shared looks, gentle brushes of fur, and the quiet, comfortable silences spoke volumes.

For Dogday, it felt like a dream—a long-awaited wish finally coming true. He couldn't stop glancing at Catnap with a goofy grin on his face, and whenever their tails accidentally brushed, his heart would skip a beat.

Catnap, on the other hand, was quieter than usual, deep in thought. He wasn't used to letting his guard down, even with Dogday, and the kiss had opened something in him that he hadn't expected. He liked it—he liked Dogday—but the vulnerability of it all was both thrilling and terrifying.

"Are you okay?" Dogday finally asked, sensing the tension. "You've been kinda quiet today."

Catnap paused, considering his response. "Yeah, I'm fine," he said after a moment. "Just... thinking."

Dogday tilted his head, ears perked up with curiosity. "About what?"

Catnap hesitated, his gaze flicking toward the floor. "About us. I've never... I mean, I've never really been close to anyone like this."

Dogday's face softened. "Me neither," he admitted, his voice gentle. "But we don't have to figure everything out right away, you know? We'll take it slow."

Catnap's tense shoulders relaxed at Dogday's words, and he felt a warm rush of gratitude. "I'd like that," he said softly, his tail curling around his paws. "Slow is good."
