Later that evening, Dogday led Catnap through winding corridors and past the usual bustling areas of the factory, venturing deeper into the lesser-known parts. As they walked, Catnap admired how Dogday practically vibrated with excitement.
"Where are you taking me?" Catnap asked, amused by Dogday's enthusiasm.
"You'll see," Dogday replied with a cheeky grin.
After what felt like hours of wandering through the maze-like halls, they finally reached their destination. Dogday pushed open a set of large, rusty double doors, revealing a sight Catnap never would've expected: a hidden indoor garden, bathed in soft, twinkling lights from the ceiling. The plants and flowers were a riot of colors, and there was a gentle sound of water trickling from a small fountain in the middle.
"I found it a while ago," Dogday said, his voice quieter now, almost shy. "I figured... it'd be a nice place for us."
Catnap stood in awe. It was beautiful. The garden felt so different from the cold, mechanical atmosphere of the factory, and yet, it was still nestled deep within it, like a secret oasis.
"I didn't know this place existed," Catnap said softly, his usual calm demeanor hiding how touched he was by the gesture. "It's perfect."
They settled down on a soft patch of grass near the fountain, the gentle glow of the lights casting a warm hue over them. Dogday was unusually quiet, his nervous energy now replaced by a softer, more vulnerable mood.
