Dogday didn’t hesitate.
He grabbed Catnap’s paw and yanked him toward the door, their paws pounding against the floor as the Prototype’s roar rattled the walls behind them.
"GO, GO, GO!" Dogday shouted.
Catnap’s mind was spinning. The Prototype wasn’t just in his head anymore. It was here. It was real.
And it wanted them dead.
The house was falling apart.
The moment the Prototype had escaped the mirror, reality itself seemed to warp. The walls were cracking, oozing with black sludge. The floorboards beneath them groaned like they were alive, shifting and twisting under their feet.
"WHERE DO WE GO?!" Catnap shouted as they bolted through the hallway.
Dogday didn’t answer. He was focused—his ears flicking, his golden tail bristling. Then, his eyes widened.
"The factory!"
Catnap stumbled. "WHAT?!"
"The Prototype came from there," Dogday said. "If there’s any way to stop it, it has to be back where it started!"
Catnap’s gut twisted. The idea of going back made his fur stand on end. But what choice did they have? They couldn’t keep running.
They had to end this.
For good.
"*Fine—BUT WE NEED TO MOVE NOW!"
Because behind them—
The Prototype was coming.
