As the night deepened, Dogday broke the silence. "You know," he said, glancing at Catnap, "I don't think I've ever asked about your life before we met."
Catnap tilted his head, surprised. "I guess we've always been too busy for deep conversations."
Dogday smiled sheepishly. "Yeah. So... tell me something about you. Something I don't know."
Catnap hesitated. He wasn't used to opening up about himself. But as he looked into Dogday's eager, kind eyes, he felt a tug to share a piece of his past. "I used to be alone a lot," Catnap said quietly, his gaze shifting to the flowers around them. "I didn't really mind it. I've always liked my space, and I didn't think I needed anyone."
Dogday listened attentively, his expression softening. "But?"
"But then I met you," Catnap continued, his voice even softer now. "And I realized it's nice to have someone around—someone who doesn't make me feel like I need to be alone."
Dogday's tail wagged gently as he leaned closer. "I'm glad you don't feel that way anymore," he said, his voice filled with warmth.
Catnap gave him a small smile, his eyes full of affection. "Me too."
They continued sharing stories, laughing about their earlier adventures and quietly reminiscing about the simpler moments they had shared—like the time Dogday got his tail stuck in a conveyor belt or when Catnap accidentally knocked over an entire shelf of plush toys.
