The factory groaned around them, the walls trembling as the Prototype's presence grew stronger.

"Where's the mirror?" Dogday asked, his ears pinned back as he scanned the massive, rusted factory.

Poppy pointed down the hall. "The testing room. That's where it broke when he escaped."*

"Then that's where we end this," Catnap said, taking a deep breath.

They didn't have time to hesitate.

The testing room was worse than Catnap remembered.

The floor was covered in shattered glass, pieces of the broken mirror still scattered across the ground. But the largest piece—the frame—was still standing, jagged and cracked, its surface flickering like static.

Dogday's tail twitched. "Will this even work?"

Poppy frowned. "It has to."*

Catnap stared at his warped reflection in the mirror's broken surface.

This was it.

"Get ready," he whispered. "Because he's coming."*

The ground shook.

The air grew cold.

And then—

A deep, inhuman voice echoed through the factory.

"You can't stop me."*

The shadows twisted. Machinery collapsed. And then, stepping through the darkness—

The Prototype appeared.

Its massive, mangled body loomed over them, its red eyes locked onto Catnap. It knew what they were planning.

"MOVE!" Dogday shouted.

Catnap bolted, running straight for the mirror.

"You think you can trap me again?" the Prototype hissed, lunging after him.

Catnap's heart raced. He just needed to get close enough.

The plan was working.

But then—

Everything went wrong.

The Prototype vanished.

One second, it was behind him—

The next, it was right in front of him.

And before Catnap could react—

Its claws slammed into his chest.
