I failed

"Y- Yongbok ?"

Felix swallowed the hard lump in his throat.

He turned around to look at the human.

This can't be happening. He just got back, he can't  - he can't lose him again.

He was not ready.

But who was Felix kidding - he will never be ready. No matter how many times this happens, in how many lifetimes - he's just never ready.

He closed his eyes.

"Hyunjin, I -"

"You what, Felix? Literally what?! You've done this before! Just tell him! Let's just leave! Please......"

Jake cut him off, and Felix felt an immense amount of rage come through him.

"Shut the fuck up! Don't fucking tell me what to do! I'm telling you this for the last time, Jake, don't test me. You know better than anyone that I wouldn't think twice before hurting someone that will come in my way. And that, includes you."

Felix didn't want it to get to this. But the younger had left him no choice.

And he was known for his short temper.

"Felix....What is he talking about?"

He saw that look again on Hyunjin's face, and he didn't like it.

He hated this part. He absolutely hated it.

Damn it, he just got him back. Why did it have to happen so soon?

"What are you hiding from me? Who is.....who is Yongbok, and why do I feel weird?"

Hyunjin's fought the tears that wanted to escape hus eyes. He doesn't know what's wrong with him. Why is he getting emotional?

Maybe - maybe his parents were right?

What if he made a mistake by trusting Felix?

What if -

"Hey hey, Darling, stay with me yeah?"

He blinked his eyes as he felt the familiar arms wrap around him.

Maybe he zoned out again.

"I - I'll tell you everything, okay? I'll answer all your questions. Just - please, promise me you'll stay."

What is going on?

Hyunjin took a shaky breath as he took a look at his surroundings.

He was sitting on Felix's familiar bed. The demon kneeling in front of him.

Jake was leaning against the door frame.

Hyunjin didn't know what to feel. Felix clearly was having a hard time too, and he didn't know if that's a good or a bad call.

"Darling."

The demon closed his eyes, as if he was collecting his thoughts.

"Remember when I told youthat they turned me into this as a punishment?"

"Y - yeah?"

They locked eyes and Hyunjin could swear he saw something shift in the older's eyes.

"Well I - I killed someone."

Hyunjin didn't dare utter a word. He heard Jake scoff and he didn't know what to do.

"I.........I killed a lover. As revenge."

"You - what?"

Hyunjin was confused. Its didn't sound like his Felix.

His Felix doesn't seem like the type to hurt someone he loves.
