Poputal, the crown jewel of Omerian culture, the birth of Sacirism, and the home of the Imperial Fleet headquarters. Through the first contact with humanity leading to the First Omerian War, through the Betrayal by allies in the second, and the eventual collapse following the third. Poputal remain untouched and flourishing, until the civil war made planet fall as the Fleet headquarters transitioned to the Terrance Republic's authority, leading the Imperial Loyalists seizing the planetary Defenses.

Fighting around the planetary capital is heavy and fierce. Brother against brother, father against son. The soldiers assaulting the city however aren't doing it to capture the city, but to make a corridor to help civilians and men of the 6th Omerian Imperial Guard escape the encircled city. On the other side of the river flowing miles away, the 56th Terrance armored force and Human Federation 34th Stormtrooper brigade secure a major bridge that leads to the capital. Poputal was supposed to fall to the Terrance Republic after the treaty signing, but the Imperium Loyalist forces seizing the defenses changed that. A coalition of Federation and Terrance forces were sent to secure it after the Omar Republic sent forces against the treaty. 

The soldiers secure their foothold, preparing for their assault on the capital. A civilian car breaks through the roadblocks and comes to a stop at the other end of the bridge. The occupants shout to the men about the corridor and the refugee caravan heading this way. The coalition prepared accordingly, ready to welcome the caravan and their military escort. The civilians make their way out of the city with elements of the 6th covering their escape and coalition orbital strikes and aircraft begin their runs devastating the orbital missile platforms surrounding the outer city wall. All the while the convoy makes their way into the lower neighborhoods of the city on the main road, pushing through a hail of machine gun fire and passing destroyed armored vehicles and bodies from both sides littering the roadsides. Destroying the main gate moving through to the open plains that the planet is hailed for. 

The lead tanks, what remains of the 12th armored, scan the open fields and scarce buildings with their gun barrels cautiously inching forward. Their scanners eventually picks up infantry hiding out in the tall grass. The tanks fire their machine guns, sweeping the grass. As one tank gets annihilated it gets pushed out of the way into the ditch. Every time a tank or truck is destroyed, they're pushed aside by the vehicle behind them. With their survivors scrambling onto the remaining vehicles. The caravan is cut in half at this ambush, most of the dead are soldiers and tanks, who are much needed if another breakthrough is needed. The bridge comes into sight, the lead tank fixes a white flag to the turret. Tank after tank break off, to set themselves up at the bridge's entrance to guard the civilians and wounded as they cross. Terrance hovercraft meet the trucks halfway, picking up the severely wounded and children.

 Shells start to land in the water, the remaining defenders trying to destroy the only remaining bridge left on the river. Omerian tanks and coalition forces return fire focusing the artillery on them to buy more time. As the evacuation is drawing to a close the tanks begin their withdraw, the command tank is the last to begin crossing coming to a violent stop when a shell lands on the bridge causing it to start collapsing. The tank guns it, coming down on the other side with a crash. The tank's commander looks back towards it, watching the bridge get swept away by the strong current. Their escape into coalition hands would be the last Imperium forces to surrender to the coalition. Remaining holdouts fight to the end, or are overrun by republic forces and shown no quarter. The Omar Republic finally collapses in a wave of revolts and counter revolutions, coalition forces fully deploy into Omerian Space either gathering worlds who submit willing or isolating holdouts. The Omerian Sieges as they're called, will begin in earnest and won't end until the last world in Omerian Space is in the coalition's grasp.
