Febuary 24th, 1983. Duchesne County, Utah.

"It's been twelve days since those parky bastards burnt Alton to embers. Leaving no man or child in their wake in the process. We finally caught their northern force, along the Duchesne near the town of Myton. Initiating our assaults' in the early hours of the 24th under the cover of a rain squall. The enemy wasn't our more pressing problem, it was the mud. I saw an M113 get swallowed whole by the swollen Duchesne and seen the crew nearly drown in mud as they tried to escape. It slowed our progress against them, but we did not falter and pushed passed our limits. Making a breakthrough near their center positions, putting them to route. To which they would keep until leaving the county all together."

"I personally seen to it the deaths of three men by my hands in the battle. Not since the war in Nam have I taken life with an M16, but here at home in tranquil Utah I've done so again. Against an enemy that sees to it our destruction, much to such a degree were the church has sent a call for arms. I have seen veterans of the old wars march in columns of twos as a response to this call. Mormon brigades we have come to call them, fought alongside us during the campaign. I'd say if it weren't for the tenacity of these old bloods we might not have seen success in our mud laden escapade."

"I fear for the future of this conflict, of it's scale escalating pass that of Utah and into more populace dense areas of neighboring states. I fear this state will be locked in perpetual torment making our ancestors trek into this Holy Land a useless endeavor. I fear for the blood that runs in my veins and those of my descendants being spilt further on the squabbles of those who can't see reason. My one and only hope is the quick end to this terrible setting, but I see these men will not be put down until the whole lot of them are hanging in the prison yards of Salt Lake."

-Ulysses Herbet Blechin.

"I have seen him in the mud soaked trenches of 169. Overlooking my fellow countrymen seeing those who will soon fall, because of my decision. I have seen him stand amongst the dead in the Azeal, staring at those who fell by my hand and contemplate the fate of those beside me. I have seen him on the bloody fields of the Innerworld, picking apart the men who walk beside me. I have yet to see him look at me."

-Wyte P Blechin.

April 8th, 2026. Fort Imeran, Home to the 101st HB and 8th Airborne. Nebraska.

On the far end of the base, a small detached building with steeple and a plain look. Sits isolated from the rest of the facilities, basking in the stillness of the early morning mist. A lone figure walks at a lazy pace towards the buildings entrance with a mindless stare. Entering the glass double doors breaks the stillness as hymns emanate from the quant structure. Giving the figure a pause in their step, not counting on a church session to be ongoing this early in the morning. Further hesitation is met with awkwardness as the last prayer is given and the session ends. With the congregation moving out in an orderly pace. giving the figure glances of suspicion as they do so. The last of the church goers trickle out leaving them to wallow in pity and shame, entering the building with a hollow look.

The interior was nothing noteworthy, just short of the entrance way there's a small waiting area with a sign giving times of different sermons, for the many different religions on base. Past that it opens up into the main area, with many rows of pews and folding seats. Leading up to a stand and microphone with a small statue of Joan of Arc proudly displayed behind it. They walk slowly through the aisle making progress to the front and pausing at the podium, marveling at the Maiden of Orleans. Before taking a seat in the front row, sitting there in relative peace. Focusing their thoughts on a forgone past. Getting jolted back to their surroundings when the doors open and footsteps rapidly approach down the aisle. They don't have a chance to look at who it is, as the man walks up next to them. He pauses at the sight of them and gives a slight sigh at their presence.
