February 26th, 2026. UN Convention. Geneva, Switzerland.

The mood in the room is dire to say the least. The situation in Russia has devolved into a full blown civil war, once again throwing the weakened nation into conflict. This time however, there won't be any outside force to intervene militarily. China occupied parts of Russian Manchuria, but has stopped there and avoided major cities. It started to supply Linskey with arms, but stopped short before actual tanks or the likes. The United States had supplied the Duma with weapons, but stopped when a skirmish with Duma naval elements off Alaska occurred. This also led to an occupation force being landed on the Siberian coast and Kamchatka Peninsula to avoid the conflict spreading over to Alaska. Seeing the conflict potentially turning global, the Chinese and the US, despite them being at odds, called for a UN meeting to hopefully prevent that. China not being ready for a war and the US sick of waring with countries in the home dimension.

US: Now, we and the communist Chinese don't always agree on many things when it comes to the international stage. But we have agreed to prevent the outbreak of another world war by discussing the situation in Russia with the world's nations as witnesses.

US: Now the Chinese are eager for a war because the US has made it policy to prevent them from gaining their pre-war strength, but, while their civilian population morale is high, their military is worse for wear. Ground numbers aren't the problem, it's naval and air power that is. The US on the other hand doesn't want conflict to erupt once again in the home dimension, not because of some righteous virtue but because our population would not want it and the many interdimensional conflicts erupting in countries we set bases in. We can discuss eventual peace deals later down the line, but the world climate right now calls for more attention. I will say this final piece of advice, if the Chinese provoke a war the American People will reign swift resolution upon them.

The convention begins with those concluding opening statements. Many hours pass as the convention mediates and argues over various proposals.

FRANCE: A no fly zone and an enforced demilitarized zone would be effective in force cooperation and cool tensions.

NCAS: All countries withdraw their forces and enforce an embargo.

CAC: The Russians should be left alone, and divided.

POLAND: Isolate them.

FINLAND/BELARUS: Scatter them.

CHINA: Limited occupation with a DMZ between each country's claim.

US: No fly zone, embargo, and all countries back to their borders.

BRAZIL: A coalition to prevent the war from leaving Russia's borders.

CAF: Support the Duma and support independence movements.

BRITAIN: No fly zone and withdrawal of military forces.

RUSSIA: Support the Duma.

Major and minor members propose similar or independent ideas. The UN heads China, France, Britain, the US, and Brazil. Consolidate the proposals and pick the similarities and some unique conditions. As the sun sets on the 26th the UN has made its decision.

The Russian border is declared a no fly zone with exclaves of the state, Kaliningrad, being occupied to avoid the conflict spreading beyond borders.

The Duma and Linskey's factions are to receive no support besides humanitarian relief.

Countries that have occupied parts of the main Russian state will withdraw their forces.

A complete embargo of military goods and arms is to be enforced.

Tensions have cooled between the world powers and the stage is set for a humanitarian crisis not seen since France was burned to embers 2 years ago.

( Russia was kicked off the security council the same time it was kicked out of the GDA for similar reasons. The NCAS was offered the position but refused it and after many debates it was decided Brazil will fill in the hole. The reason Brazil was chosen is because it was the strongest country in its continent and it was neutral meaning it didn't back the GDA, ADP, or any other alliance.)
