December 27th, 2025. Yensom Hillion Frontline. Innerworld.
Soldiers huddle around a dimly lit campfire trying to keep themselves warm. The Elimir season has brought the fighting to a halt as the soldiers celebrate the Elimir holiday with gifts from home. With some soldiers even going as far as meeting in no man's land for sports and celebration. These soldiers take advantage of the quiet to get drunk and mess around the small mining town a mile from their part of the front. Their vacation is interrupted by a passing train going through the mining town, on the newly finished railway.
This is common, as troops and equipment started being transferred en masse when the railway was completed 3 weeks ago. Though this train's cargo was very uncommon and drew the attention of the soldiers and townsfolk. Metallic beasts were being transported on flatbeds accompanied by boxcars filled with ammunition and soldiers. The train itself was an unseen model. It takes nearly an hour to pass through the town, carrying over 50 cars, in a time where over 23 was seen as too much. The people in the town were unable to continue their festivities, as 4 more trains carrying the same cargo passed through the derelict town throughout the night.
As Elimir day came upon dawn, the forward most Hillion trench came under fire from Yensom artillery. Completely devastating the unaware soldiers caught outside the trench. This action shocked the civilized world as Elimir was seen as too sacred for military actions to be executed on the week-long holiday. The Hillions quickly set up a defense, but no attack would come. Instead a 2 hour barrage was all that came. The frontline becomes quiet for the rest of the year much to the surprise of the Hillions and even some Yensom troops.
January 1st, 2026. Kingdom of Arem. Northern Arragonian Border. Gods Dimension.
The thundering of hooves and engines erupt from the oil plains of Hashir. A freezing storm has recently passed, and a cultist refugee caravan from the Arragon Empire has resumed its journey to the safe refuge of Arem. Though as they crossed across the republic into Arem and coming upon the Olorado, a force of Arem Armor and an Arragonian scout element ambushed them crossing the frigid river. To the shock of the fighting men, the Arem armor ignores the women and children and dives head first into their defense. Shattering them upon the banks of the Olorado. The wounded, women, and children, don't make it far beyond the river as the Arragonian scouts cut them off and try to surround them. Some run for the river but drown or freeze in panic. Upon the conclusion of the ambush, the remaining caravan is escorted to a camp outside an oil town. They would be left there on their own freezing in the overcrowded refugee camp. Though their fate is a more welcomed one compared to the cultists and ancients massacred in the eastern cult wars. The new year has brought the same old same old, but instead of slaughter and forced internment. The countries of the Arragonian continent have chosen the route their model country would take. Putting the emotionless Ancient Ones into the underworld and forcing the cultists to assimilate or die.
( though many call the wanted slaughter of Ancients and Cultists as barbaric. The countries in the gods have good purpose to do so. The cult of the gods is a remnant of the previous head god, set up to worship him as more than a powered human and more like a god. So in order to reform the world this cult needed to go, which the cultist saw as a holy war and a prophecy come true. The 5 cultists wars would completely annul the cult and leave those still a part of it willing to cooperate now that the radicals lay dead on the northern plains. The Ancient Ones were the first god's first attempt at creating life. The god learned that emotions were very important in creating a functional lifeform. Due to the lack of certain emotions like love, happiness, and empathy, they became hateful to any other life. The first god fixed this by creating a high elder and chiefs to keep the Ancients from running amok, but when he created the first humans and their many variants. He casted the Ancients to the fringes of each continent and prevented them from repopulating. The ancients were given no life span, so when Litzain's father died and the countries were going through reforms. The Ancients chiefs and elders launched their revenge and attacked anything vital to the various countries they inhabit. The elders and chiefs fell during the 2nd Cult war and the population was culled to under 200 during the 5th. As of this context entry, the ancient's numbers is around 50 and they've been corralled to an old ancient reservation up north from their original banishing.)
