March 18th, 2026. Vladivostok. Russian Republic Territory.

Completely cut off and surrounded is the situation the city finds itself in. Although the Republic occupies the majority of Siberia, the inner Russian steps around Moscow are almost in complete Linskey control. The steps of Mongolia and Manchuria are the same. In the early days of the conflict the Republic pushed Linskey's forces to these steps but a counter attack opened the way for Vladivostok to be under siege. Even with their advantage in the region the Republic is helpless in breaking it, as Linskey launches a renewed assault on Moscow and other loyal cities from his base in St Petersburg.

70% of the navy and airforce have picked Linskey's side making these assaults the center of focus no matter how dire the odds are. The Chinese withdrawal made the situation worse as the PLA uprooted and stole untold amounts of grain and wheat from local farms, making the only way to feed the city through the sea. But that sea route is heavily contested. The Duma, seeing it lost, halted any more shipments to the city in fear of losing valuable naval assets. Not all hope is lost however, as the UN has devised a plan to feed the city's inhabitants. A US led convoy of merchant vessels departed from Taipei, consisting of ships from Australia, United States, Taiwan, United Korean Republic, Japan, and Vietnam. This ragtag grouping of ships is tasked with feeding the starving cities and towns along Russia's Pacific coast, Linskey or the Republic; it doesn't matter as long as civilians are fed. 289 vessels in total, depart into the frigid waters of the North Pacific. Their escorts range from PT boats all the way to battleships, with substantial troop numbers to ensure the off loading sites remain secure. The waters around Vladivostok are mined and submarine hunting grounds, but 45 ships and 28 escorts brave the dangers.

2 PT boats zoom through the mines, their wooden hulls preventing the magnetic mines from detonating. After entering the Golden Horn Bay, the PT boats plot the coordinates and the flagship of the escorts opens a portal to allow the merchant's vessels to avoid the minefields. The method is inefficient due to the time it takes, but it works in a non combat scenario. Troops offload first, then the cargo of wheat, MREs, potatoes, corn, and various types of dried meat. The populace of Vladivostok breathe a sigh of relief and enjoy their gifts. As the convoy departs the same way it came, the siege forces attempt another grab at the city. The local militia and trapped Republic forces can only fend off the small rebel force until the Republic lifts the pending siege.

March 25th, 2026. Uncontacted Dimension 481. Off The Coast Of The Empire Of France.

2 F-35s speed off towards the horizon. A large radar blip pings on screen.

D1: Contact marked.

They lower themselves to the unknown's altitude. Breaking through the clouds upon an abnormal scene.

D2: The fuck is that?

A Russian cruiser.

D1; How?

Floating above the water.

D2: I can't get a clear view of the deck.

Spewing black smoke from the many holes in its hull, with small fires near the forward weapons. It slowly lurches toward the coast of France with the cylinder engines on its side glowing a dim light blue. The F35s circle over the cruiser unsure how to counter such a thing. Their HQ is unsure as well, but with the cruiser on a set path to their empire they need to come up with something fast. As the higher ups bicker all the way up to the king. The pilots receive a call from the abnormal vessel.

IVAN: Requesting permission to enter harbor.

The captain's broken English is barely legible and the sense of urgency in his voice gives the pilots an understanding in his words. They relay the captain's words back to command, who then instructed them to escort the ship to the near port of Cherbourg. 4 more French F-35s and 2 British F-15s join in the escort of the unknown adversary. All over the ship's bridge the crew try to keep the ship on course as the engines flicker off and on, while spewing miniscule amounts of radiation from their cheaply made reactors. Russian industry and military have always been on the cheap or poorly executed from the Tsars to the, now defunct, Republic. Most of the countermeasures for anti air or ship don't work and the ship's engines are out of date being built poorly allowing radiation to leak if directly hit. Not to mention the fire control systems, which haven't been kept up since the ships were built before the collapse of the USSR. So the bridge crew is trying their best with a poorly dealt hand.

The vessel slowly limps into the airspace over the French port and begins to lower itself into the water. Upon fully settling into the water the ship immediately begins to heavily list and evacuation efforts begin in earnest. Surprisingly the ship doesn't sink, but has a 30 degree list making the evacuation of non crucial personnel a priority. A French Imperial Navy Cruiser, positions itself at the mouth of the harbor as tug boats and smaller naval craft help the stricken cruiser. While this situation unfolds the French have no idea what to do with the alien vessel as the news spreads world governments call for a conference and put the situation into UN hands. Though Russian luck would bring a bigger situation. When the evacuations end, an ominous call emits from the English Channel.

UM: Attention Russian vessel, this is the Uss Minehawk. You are currently breaking the interdimensional blockade set upon your country. Comply and be interned or face consequences.

This point in time the bridge was completely abandoned as the list increased to 40 degrees, the Russians were unaware of the Minehawks presence. But the French are unnerved by another unknown vessel appearing. A British flight patrol spots the unknown vessel 3 miles off the French coast in the English Channel, but are unable to radio its position as a Sea Wing Reconnaissance Aircraft jams their communications. When the Minehawk receives no response the go ahead is given to sink the vessel. 2 Modified CAS Armored Crop-dusters are chosen for the task due to the Russian vessel being reported as unable to fight back. The reason they chose this unconventional aircraft when a cruise missile would suffice. Was because Odin saw this as a perfect opportunity to test this new aircraft, that could potentially be a replacement for the A10 in worlds not equipped to shoot these aircraft down.

A portal was open near the mouth of the harbor and the 2 aircraft buzzed over the French cruiser guarding the harbor. They skim the water with torpedoes attached to their underbelly and bear down on the abandoned cruiser. One then two splashes erupt as the ordinance is released, the crop-dusters pull up and disappear through a newly open portal. The torpedoes streak through the water, crashing into the side of the cruiser finally sinking it. It rolls over with its engines shearing off as the joints rupture with the aging hull. Geiger counters start to spike as two of the engine reactors break open completely. This horrific disaster sends the French Empire into a panicked state and draws attention away from the American task force that vanishes from the dimension not bothering with the minor mishap.

(Russian warships are not built from the ground up like modern vessels. They build them off already existing ships covering them with a thin layer of 293 and haphazardly attaching engines to it. So a lot of the equipment in their warships are from before the collapse of the Ussr and haven't been kept up for the sake of saving money and corrupt admirals not bothering to do proper checkups. Radiation leaks, when reactors get hit with gunfire, is not probable as the reactors shut themselves down when breached and Yumin Fonton is pumped in that covers the reactor in a protective foam that absorbs radiation if radiation does leak from the reactor. Even when a reactor is busted open it shouldn't emit enough radiation to endanger the surrounding environment and is an easy cleanup. That is if they are built correctly and not cheaply.)
