Sarah's POV
I was tossing and turning in bed that night, waking Michael up every 10 minutes.
"Sarah go to sleep." he moaned.
" I'm sorry, I'll try." I whispered rolling over and putting my head on his chest. He wrapped an arm around me and went back to sleep. Being in his arms did help, but I knew I wasn't going to be able to sleep tonight. The Julliard decision was weighing down on me.
It wasn't the only thing I was thinking about either. I hadn't talked to the others in a week, and it was slowly eating me away inside. I hadn't realized how much of the world I was holding on my shoulders until now. I didn't mind it at all, that's just how I was. I liked to hold everybody together. But now that I had let it all go I was a mess, and if I did make it into Julliard and I left... would I ever speak to any of them again? I knew that worrying about the pain inside wasn't going to help so I just listened to Michael's steady heartbeat. When my mind was empty and I was relaxed I realised his heart beat matched mine.
Couple of days had gone and they had flown over to New York.
The next morning I got up before anybody else. All was quiet on the bus, that's the way I liked it. I made myself a cup of coffee and looked out the window at the passing fields. Alli had told me she had her routine all ready all she had to do was practice it when we got to Leggz. The studio where the auditions were being held. We rented out two rooms for the day until the auditions. She was doing a contemporary routine. I was still at a loss for what I was going to do. Julliard looked for ballerinas and contemporary people, not hip hop people. I was thinking about doing a lyrical routine, but couldn't find a song. I was running a million songs through my head when I heard the loud thuds of Michael's feet coming across the hallway.
" Morning babe." I said, sipping my coffee.
" How did you know-
" I know these things." I giggled. He chuckled as he opened and closed the cabinet doors looking for something to eat. He started humming as he opened the fridge doors. The song sounded so familiar....
" Michael, what song is that!" I said, suddenly excited.
" Uh what song?" he asked.
" The one your humming!"
" Hero." he said. I stopped and looked at him smiling.
" The first song we ever slow danced to." I said quietly.
" Yeah, that's why it's my favorite love song." he said, kissing me gently. I knew one wasn't going to be enough so we ended up making out again.
" Really you two?" Karen said, coming into the kitchen.
" Mum, you need to wear a bell so we know when your coming!" Michael sighed.
" Or you two should kiss in private." She laughed.
" Well it WAS private before you walked in!" Michael spat.
" Don't take that tone with me!"Karen said, raising her eyebrow at him.
" Yeah Michael don't you take that tone with her." I said, poking out my lips and pointing my finger at him. Karen and Michael were both emotionless for a second until a grin crept onto both their faces, then they started to laugh.
" You should listen to your girlfriend." Karen said, winking at me.
" Maybe I should." Michael said, kissing me one last time.
" Ok now to look up the song!" I said, skipping over to the computer. I sat on Michael's lap on the spinney chair and waited for it to load. It started to play and memories from me and Michael's first dance came flooding back to me, the routine slowly building in my mind.
