Jungkook stood outside Jimin's apartment for what felt like an eternity, his emotions wete building up with each breath he was taking as he tried to gather the courage to knock, his mind was consumed with desperation, the need to have jimin back in his arms. Just as he raised his hand to knock at the door, it suddenly opened.

There stood Jimin, his face pale, his eyes swollen and tired from hours of crying. Behind him, a shirtless man appeared in the dim light of the apartment. The sight hit Jungkook like a punch to the gut, his heart plummeting as he immediately looked away. The thought of jimin moving right after they ended their term stinged badly.

The man behind Jimin casually pulled on his shirt and stepped forward with a questioning glance. "Is this Jungkook?"

"Jihyun, leave us alone for a minute," Jimin said quietly, his voice hoarse.

Relief surged through Jungkook's veins as the realization hit him, it was only Jihyun, Jimin's younger brother. Yet, it only helped a little to ease the ache brimming in his chest.

"Why are you here?" Jimin's voice was cold, distant, the softness that it once held was no longer there. "You've been standing out here for an hour i could see throught the security camera. What do you want?"

"You left so suddenly," Jungkook whispered, struggling to keep his voice steady. "I thought I'd check on you-"

"I thought I made myself clear when I ended things in the hospital. There's nothing more to say. Let's move on."

The finality in Jimin's words was like a blade to Jungkook's heart. Desperation clawed at him as he reached out, pulling Jimin gently out of the doorway. His back met the cold wall of the hallway, and Jungkook's voice cracked with frustration. "Just because I'm younger doesn't mean you get to treat me like I'm some filth. You can't walk all over me and expect me to stay silent. Give me atleast one good reason why? I beg of you."

Jimin's eyes flashed with anger and hurt. "I don't owe you anything or any explanation. We weren't in a relationship, Jungkook. Stop projecting your stupid expectations on me." His voice rose, "Leave me the fuck alone. I hate seeing your face."

"You know I love you," Jungkook's voice broke as he sank to his knees, his arms wrapping around Jimin's waist like a child being snatched away from their parent. His forehead rested against Jimin's stomach. "It wasn't supposed to end like this. All I ever wanted was a chance to prove that what we had could be real. Please, hyung, don't do this to me."

But Jimin's expression remained as cold as the ice. He pried Jungkook's arms away with shaking hands and turned away. "Leave, Jungkook," he said, retreating into the apartment, the door shutting behind him like a final nail in the coffin.

Jungkook remained on the cold floor, he could feel his heart shattering into pieces, tears slipping down his cheeks silently. Minutes passed like hours until the door creaked open again. Expecting Jimin, Jungkook quickly wiped his tears only to find Jihyun standing there, arms crossed, looking at him with sympathy.

"Damn," Jihyun muttered, offering a hand. "I didn't want to get involved, but that look on your face convinced me. Let's talk, hyung."

They found themselves sitting in the small, dimly lit garden outside the building. The air around them felt heavy with sadness.

"How much do you love, my brother?" Jihyun asked quietly.

"A lot," Jungkook answered without hesitation, voice raw. "Since the moment I first laid my eyes on him."

"Then don't give up," Jihyun said. "Jimin hyung, he's hurting, and he'll never admit it to you, he has his reasons. He believes he'll hold you back your happiness. But if you walk away now, all you'll do is confirm him thar he made the righg choice by letting you go." He tossed a key card into Jungkook's lap before standing. "Figure it out for yourself what's holding him back. If you're still willing to fight for him after that, prove it to him."

Left alone, Jungkook stared at the card, his mind racing. His thoughts were interrupted by a small ball rolling to his feet, followed by the pitter-patter of tiny footsteps. A child stopped in front of him, wide-eyed.

"Hyung, can I have my ball?"

Jungkook handed it back, but the interaction left him frozen in realization, this was it. The reason Jimin was pushing him away. The fear of not being able to give Jungkook the future he deserved, a family.

Without wasting another second, Jungkook raced back upstairs. The door clicked open with the card, and the sound of quiet sobs guided him to the bedroom.

"Hyung?" His voice was soft, careful not to scare him away.

Jimin looked up with wide, tear-filled eyes. "I'm going to kill Jihyun," he muttered. "Leave me alone, Jungkook."

Jungkook crossed the room and knelt beside him, reaching out to brush stray tears from Jimin's cheek. "You say you hate my face, yet our pictures still hang on your walls. You don't hate me, hyung."

"You're an idiot," Jimin muttered weakly.

Jungkook cupped his chin, gently guiding his gaze upward. "I love you. I don't expect anything from you except to let me love you. When I'm with you, every burden disappears. You're not holding me back, you're my reason to move forward."

"You know? Did jihyun tell you-" Jimin's lips trembled.

"No, he didn't. He just helped me realize what I already knew deep down," Jungkook confessed, voice low and trembling with sincerity. "I'm sorry, hyung. I didn't want kids just for the sake of having them, I wanted them because of you. Every time I brought it up, it was because I imagined us together, settling down, building a future. Without you, none of it matters."

Jimin's lips quivered as his gaze locked onto Jungkook's, vulnerability seeping through his eyes. "You're just saying that now. Give it a few years, and you'll realize none of this really means what you think it does."

Before Jimin could pull away, Jungkook leaned in and silenced him with a kiss soft, urgent, desperate. Their foreheads rested together as Jungkook whispered, breath hot against Jimin's lips, "Then stay with me. Let's find out what the next few years bring, together. Trust me, Jimin. Believe in us. Pushing me away will only hurt both of us."

Jimin swallowed hard, his voice breaking. "There's one thing I've never doubted in this world, and that's your love for me, Jungkook. I see it in your eyes it's written all over your face. One look, and I fall all over again. But baby, it's selfish of me to keep you from the happiness of having your own child someday,"

"Jimin, look at me." Jungkook cupped his face, thumbs brushing away unshed tears. "All those dreams? They only make sense if you're in them. Without you, they're just empty ideas. You're not being selfish, if anything, letting me go would put me in a misery I can't escape."

A small, broken smile cracked across Jungkook's lips as he pulled Jimin closer, their bodies fitting together like they always had. "Please, give us a chance. I swear I'll make every moment worth it."

Jimin sank into his arms, resting his head against Jungkook's chest as if he belonged there. "Okay," he whispered, voice thick with emotion. "Just don't make me regret this."

"Never," Jungkook murmured, fingers tracing lazy circles along Jimin's back. "I love you too much to ever let you down."

Jimin let out a soft chuckle, nuzzling closer. "I love you too. And, for the record, I love your face too, i didn't mean-"

"You don't have to say it." Jungkook's grinned. "Your actions spoke loud and clear last time you sat on my face."

Jimin rolled his eyes, a playful smirk tugging at his lips. "Can I sit on it again?"

Jungkook leaned in, his voice dropping to a possessive low whisper. "It's your seat, sir. Anytime you want."

Pressing a soft kiss to the tip of Jimin's nose, Jungkook added, "Always yours. Every part of me."
