I am sorry

At the concert venue, Jin was guided to his seat. "I told you I wanted to be somewhere in the middle of the crowd, hyung," he said, adjusting his mask and baseball cap.

"I couldn't find any other seats. This is safer anyway," the manager replied.

"Sit down," the manager urged. "It’s about to start."

Jin took his seat and noticed the muscular men in suits surrounding him. "Quite the eclectic audience," he muttered to himself.

"They’re your security detail, Seokjin, not the audience," the manager corrected. Jin smiled at them, bowing slightly. "Thank you for being here."

"This is just drawing more attention, hyung. We should blend them in."

Jin pulled out the merchandise he had bought and handed it to the guards. "See? Now they’re more concert-ready." He smiled as they held the light sticks.

Meanwhile, someone watched him from afar. "He’s so close, yet I can’t reach him," Taehyung whispered to himself. "What are you planning for him this time? The CEO is going to lose it, Taehyung."

"And what if, even after you confess, he still leaves?" Boem asked.

Taehyung sighed, "I don’t know what I’ll do then."

"Everything's ready. You’re on in five minutes," the manager informed him.

Taehyung took a deep breath, whispering to himself, "It’ll be okay."

When he finally stepped onto the stage, he bowed to his fans, taken aback by the full stadium. Despite everything, he was deeply grateful for their support.

"Times have been tough lately," he said into the mic, "but I want to thank you all for coming tonight." The fans cheered, but his eyes were fixed on Seokjin, who looked relieved to see Taehyung after so long.

Taehyung sang the first few songs, mostly ballads. His set didn’t include any upbeat tracks this time. After a short break, he finished the setlist and then stood up.

"I have a surprise song," he announced. "I’m not sure if it will ever be released, but tonight, I want to share it with you." Clearing his throat, he brought out his guitar and took a seat on the stage. As the background music began, Taehyung locked eyes with Seokjin and started to sing.

In that moment, everything clicked for Seokjin. The crowd, the chants—all of it became a blur as he locked eyes with Taehyung while he sang. Seokjin finally understood what had been happening all along.

I wonder
If you
Are you too good to be true
And would it be alright if I
Pulled you closer

How could I know
One day, I'd wake up feeling more
But I had already reached the shore
Guess we were ships in the night

We were ships in the night
Night, night

As he finished singing, tears streamed down Taehyung's face. "I really wanted to perform this song in front of you all, to confess what I feel for someone very special," he began. "I know this might disappoint some of my fans, but my heart beats for him. I live for him, and nothing matters if he isn’t by my side. Everything that happened between us was mutual. In fact, if anyone caused pain, it was me. I failed to make him believe that nothing in this world means anything to me without him. I’m sorry, and I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me."

He bowed deeply to his fans as the crowd erupted in cheers. Meanwhile, Seokjin sat stunned, unable to process what he had just witnessed. Was this all planned? Had Taehyung expected him to be here? Overwhelmed by the public confession and apology, Seokjin lowered his head, struggling to take it all in.
