"Aw, look how cute these are! Do you think we'll have a boy or a girl?" I asked Lyriq as we walked through the baby aisle in Target and I picked up baby clothes
She doesn't seem to be interested in what I'm talking about which is throwing me off.
"Babe, are you listening?" I tapped the dark-skinned girl
"Huh?" She finally looked at me
"I said...nevermind," I sighed
"I can't wait 'til we have this baby, though. I really hope it's a boy, I'm gonna teach him how to play football...or volleyball, or whatever he's into. I just hope he isn't a serial killer," I lightly chuckled
"Mmhm," She looked down
"What's up with you? Why do you seem so down?" I asked her
"What? No, I'm fine... just, this baby has me tired all of the time, y'know?" She explained
"You want a foot massage when we get back to my aunt's house?" I asked her
"Uhm, sure," She replied
"Did you tell your parents yet?" I asked Lyriq
"Uhm...yea. I did," She said but I couldn't help but feel as if she was lying to me
"Okay, what'd they say?" I asked
"They're excited," She said
"That's great," I smiled
"I know," She mumbled before looking away, her eyes landing on a family of three
"That's gonna be us one day," I told Lyriq while holding her hand
"Yup," She nodded
"Imagine if you have twins...You're more likely to have twins since your mom is a twin," I told her
"Uhn uhn, I can't do no twins," Lyriq shook her head
"Yeah, you're right. One kid is gonna be enough for us," I chuckled
"Exactly. Can we go get my golden grahams now?" She asked
"Nasty ass cereal," I mumbled as we pushed the cart to the cereal aisle
Lyriq POV
We finally arrived back at my place which was packed with my family members since Valentine's day is coming up. Robyn's place was empty being that her aunt and uncle don't celebrate Valentine's day. What a total fucking bummer, but, it's okay. I get to spend more time with my girlfriend.
"Wassup White girl," Poody dapped up Robyn
"Wassup, dude?" Robyn replied
"Ay, you tryna play 2K wit us in the room?" Poody asked Robyn
"No, she's here for me, gay nigga. Get on somewhere," I talked over a speaking Robyn
