tw: violence, abuse
The sudden change in scenery terrified her. One moment, she was walking down the stairs to the lower deck of Sarah's boat, the next moment she was bolting awake on a bed.
She woke with a gasp, unable to comprehend what was going on, unable to even recognize where she was. A hand fell on her arm, making her jerk away.
"Don't freak out," came the low voice. "It's okay, it's just me. Don't freak out."
When she processed who was in front of her, the confusion became even worse.
"Wheezie?"
Wheezie smiled at her. "Hey, Bex."
"Wheezie?" She felt a stinging pain in her wrists. Looking down, she realized her hands were bound together with zip ties. "Wheezie," she panicked. "What's going on-" She sat up, and tried to stand to her feet, but was pulled back as she realized one of her legs was bound to the bed. She became more panicked. "What's going on?"
"Hey, hey, relax," Wheezie told her. She looked at the door. "Just-quiet down, alright? I don't want them to hear us. I'm not supposed to be in here."
"What's going on?!" Bexley gasped again. "Sarah! Sarah!"
"She's okay!" Wheezie said, frantically saying, "Calm down!"
"JJ!" she screamed. "JJ, help me!"
"Bexley, stop!" Wheezie tried again, desperately. "We can't let them hear you! Rafe's gonna freak out if he finds out I woke you up!"
Hearing that name just sent more spikes of fear into her heart.
"JJ!" she cried out, trying to pull at her tied leg. "JJ-!"
"He's not here!"
"Wheezie, get me out of here," Bexley cried. "Please. Help me, Wheezie, you can't leave me like this-"
"I'll help you, I will," Wheezie insisted. She looked at the door again. "Be quiet, and I will. Here-" She had some scissors with her. "I'm gonna cut the ties, okay? But-Bexley, promise you're gonna stay right here, okay? Don't be anything crazy. You gotta promise."
Bexley glanced around the room. They were on a ship, unfamiliar to her. But there was a door. An unlocked door. She could see the handle turned to the open position from where she was.
Quickly, she nodded her head. "I'll stay where I am, I promise."
Wheezie cut the rope wrapped around her ankle first. Then, she took the scissors to the zip tie. "We have to keep quiet. If someone here's me in here they'll-"
The instant the tie was cut, Bexley broke her wrists free, darted off the bed, flung the door open, and ran out of the room.
"Bexley, stop!" she faintly heard Wheezie call.
Bexley paid her no mind. She found herself in a hallway, one thin and made of metal. She bolted down it, her feet making loud clings as she did so. She spotted light, and a staircase. She ran up it so fast her thighs began burning.
When she reached the outside, she swore she felt her heart stop. Because she looked out beyond the ship and saw...nothing.
There was nothing but ocean.
She was on a huge ship in the middle of nowhere.
"No, no, no, no," she whispered. "No. No. JJ." She whipped her head all around. "JJ!"
She kept running, fast, trying to get somewhere to find a radio. They had to have a radio. A radio, or a phone, or something to call for help. She had to be able to call for help.

FanfictionJJ's biggest flaw was his recklessness, and his bad ideas. Honestly, that didn't seem that bad to Bexley. Rafe's biggest flaw? Jealousy. Pure, uncontrolled jealousy.
