"Oh my god, Topper, hi!"

Bexley pulled the cart next to him.

It was a hot day at the golf course, but a nice breeze kept her cool. She had been so bored, forcing herself into a eight hour shift from 6am to 2pm. She needed the money for obvious reasons, but she hated going back and forth between course and the club bar. It was exhausting.

She was beyond excited to find Topper. He was golfing by himself that day.

"Bexley, hey," he greeted with a smile, his gaze flickered around. She looked pretty, in her short golf skirt and v neck tank top and visor. But he didn't check her out. He was smart enough to know not to check out Rafe Cameron's girl.

"Oh my gosh, how are you?" she asked, with a smile. She hopped out of the cart, going up to him, securing her visor to keep the sun out of her face.

"I've been good," he said, smiling still. He looked around. "Rafe's not here?"

"No," she said, wincing. "Unfortunately, his parents took his name off the access list."

Topper relaxed while talking to her. It'd be fun if he saw his friend. But he'd also be worried his friend would see Topper, specifically while he spoke with his girlfriend. He did not want to deal with that jealousy today. He was supposed to be relaxing.

"Damn. He was a great golf buddy."

Bexley's eyes widened. "Hey! Maybe you could bring him sometime!"

Topper nodded, another smile growing. He liked the idea. "That sounds cool actually. Yeah, I can bring guests." He nodded at her. "Are you able to play golf here?"

She waved her hand through the air. "I think employees can sign into the member facilities a couple times a month, but I see enough of it while working."

Topper laughed. He liked Bexley, they got along. Way more than any of his friend's girlfriends. He wouldn't be opposed to her tagging along while they golfed one of these days. She was fun at the boat party too. And Topper was smart enough to know the arguments Rafe got into were Rafe's fault not hers.

People always said girls caused drama. Topper got into enough fights with boys to know that wasn't true.

"Can I get you anything?" she asked him. "Anything. On me."

"On you? Why?"

She shrugged. "Anything for one of Rafe's friends."

Topper smiled kindly at her. "I was actually planning on ordering a beer. Any's fine."

"I'll be right back with that," she said, grinning.

Topper watched her drive away.

Man, that girl was nice.
