Today was an important day for Bright Fields. It was their new annual Pony Camp. The first one since Sam. This really needed to go well and Lainey was determined to make it happen.

She had everything prepped and ready for weeks. She got up bright and early and let everyone into the yard so they could set up their tents and to decorate. She set up the station for check in and helped Ted get the food started.

Lainey had just set down the last box of supplies and hung up the signs with Marcus when Pin came up to her in the office. He wrapped his arms around her from behind and kissed her neck.

"You need to stop working so hard. You've done enough. I'm the one who should be nervous," he laughed and she smiled to herself.

"Which is why I did so much, so you would have nothing to worry about," she said, turning around, wrapping her arms around his neck as his hands were placed on her waist.

He shook his head, "you're doing too much, you're going to over exert yourself." He then gave her a look, reaching for something on the desk behind her. "And... you haven't had any water today," holding up her untouched water bottle.

She snatched it from his hands as they separated a little. "I got busy." She took a large gulp from the water. "There, happy?"

He rolled his eyes before smiling, "come on, we need to go welcome them and bring that water, it's hot out."

They walked through the yard to the open field where everything was set up. They stood on one of the benches as they got everyone's attention. "Okay everyone! Let's get started!" Pin announced and everyone ran up to where they were.

"Welcome to Bright Fields' Pony Camp," Lainey said excitedly, looking at everyone. She knew a lot of them, but there were some newer people there. "We've got loads of things lined up today, including our famous egg-and-spoon race." There was loud clapping as Pin took over speaking.

"All concluding in an incredible performance from the yard's very own hip-hop dressage stars," he pointed to Becky who did a pose with Bob. "There's sessions running all day, so check the tack room board to find out where you're supposed to be."

Everyone dispersed to get started on their rotations. Lainey and Pin were walking around the yard together to make sure everything was running smoothly. They had just passed Mia and Susie with Unicorn Makeovers when three new girls showed up. They looked like Freshmen in Highschool. One was dressed in orange and yellow, one in pink, and one in blue. "Hey," Lainey smiled at them. "Are you guys here for Pony Camp?"

"We're here for the wild horses," the one in the middle told them.

Lainey nodded, "well, unfortunately, there are no wild horses here."

"Well, we saw a video about them on this weird vlogging site–"

"My weird vlogging site," Becky said, walking out of a stable out of nowhere.

They rolled their eyes, "we want a photo with the foal, he's trending like crazy. I want a piece of the action and we're not going anywhere until we get it or Bright Fields will get a bad review."

"Really sorry, girls, I don't think–"

"One sec," Zoe said, coming from behind them and pulling the couple away. She pulled them into one of the stables where Aaron was.

"If we give them a photo, everyone's going to want one."

Pin shook his head, "no way. These first few days are crucial bonding time for mother and foal." He looked at the two cousins. "If Ariel gets spooked she could reject Scout, and he's– look, he's really young, he might not survive without her." Lainey ran her hand up and down his back.
