~this is definitely some OOC shit~

Third person POV

It was about 10:30 when Ashley got home from Kaiba Corp. Mokuba had gone home earlier, and even called a maid to clean his mess up. Without having to do any work, Ashley quickly disrobed and hopped in the shower. Kaiba said he was going to be there at 11, and he was hardly ever late. She hopped out and threw one of her own wrestling t-shirts and grey sweats.

Kaiba gave her lunch. Now Ashley decided to return the favor. She just had no clue what he liked. She hesitantly texted Mokuba.

A: what does ur brother like to eat?
M: ...is this going to be a romantic date at your apartment? 😉
A: No. 😡 He got me this mega good sandwich for lunch, so I'm making dinner.
M: was it a ham and turkey sandwich w/ Swiss, lettuce, tomatoes, jalapeños and a lil ranch?
A: yes! You have to tell me what store he bought it from.
M: lol Ash, he made it.
A: well shit. 😳 I didn't think he knew how to boil water.
M: he's a big steak person. Use the two I saw in ur fridge 😏
A: 😒

Ashley quickly took out steaks from the fridge. She started to season the meat, being careful not to add too much of anything, especially salt. After doing that, she left the meat to marinate for a good thirty minutes. Kaiba would be here already, but it wouldn't take much longer after he arrived. She took out potatoes. Baked potato for him, loaded mashed potatoes for her. She didn't take Kaiba for someone who'd eat something as unhealthy as mashed potatoes with melted cheese and bacon on it. Now for a veggie..

As she looked in the fridge for broccoli, she heard a knock coming from her door. She quickly made it for the door, knowing that making him wait would sour his mood. She let Kaiba in, her eyes scanning his entire body as he made his way to her living room. Seto Kaiba was in dark fitted jeans, and a royal blue polo with briefcase in hand. She never seen her boss in anything but business clothing. Who knew that Kaiba owned jeans?

"I was just getting started on dinner, make yourself at home." She didn't really have to say the last part. Kaiba was already on her couch, and going through his briefcase. Ashley started to grill the steaks, and popped Kaiba's baked potato in the oven. "You know Ashley, we could've gone out or ordered something for dinner." Ashley noted that he called her by her first name. That's kind of a deal with Kaiba. "You still don't trust my cooking. Mokuba said you liked the pancake though." Ashley smirked since she had her back turned to Kaiba.

"That was a pancake. This is raw meat you're cooking. I like my steak medium well." This didn't feel work related to Ashley. This felt like a night with her boyfriend. But Kaiba wasn't her boyfriend, not even close. She felt his eyes follow her while she walked to her room to retrieve her deck. "Leon might stop by with his boyfriend. His boyfriend used to duel, so I guess he'll be useful. I think he was in your Battle City finals." She grinned when Kaiba groaned when he learned that they might not be alone tonight. "Who's his boyfriend?" "Ryou Bakura." Ashley answered Kaiba as she walked back towards him, placing her deck on the coffee table before heading back in the kitchen.

"He's a weird one." Was all Kaiba said about Ryou. "Thank God it's not only me that thinks that." Ashley finished dinner and began to place the food neatly on the plates. She heard Kaiba's footsteps coming towards the little dining room table. He thanked her when Ashley placed his plate in front of him and glanced at her plate. "What do you wanna drink?" She asked him as she poured herself a
Small glass of whiskey with ice. "I'll have what you're having." Ashley poured him a small glass and sat directly in front of him.

"That has to be the most unhealthy mashed potatoes that I've ever seen." Kaiba looked at her mashed potatoes with disgust. "But it's so freaking good, Joey is the one who got me hooked." "I'm not surprised one bit." Ashley dug into it and got a spoonful. "Come on, you have to at least try it!" Kaiba looked at her with distain, but reluctantly nodded. Ashley fed him the mouthful and watched him chew in thought. "I suppose it's not too bad.." Ashley grinned and he just rolled his eyes at her.
