Third person POV
Seto arrived to his girlfriend's apartment at around nine o'clock at night. Upon entering, he noted that Joey was indeed here, along with Mai. He also noted that the girls weren't here, even the newborn. "Hey Seto." Ashley saw him walk in from the living room, quickly jumping up to kiss her boyfriend. "Where are the girls?" Seto asked, kissing her back. Joey and Mai smirked at each other, watching the two by the door. "Well they're with Joey's parents and my dad, figured that these two need a break." Ashley smiled, holding Seto's hand as they walked to the living room.
He hummed in reply, sitting right next to Ashley, greeting Mai and Joey. "You play Nintendo games?" Joey asked his nemesis, who gave him a scoff. "Of course I do. Sub-par to my games but they're classic." Mai jumped on in. "They were playing Smash Bros Brawl or whatever." "The old one." Joey added. "The new one is shit." Seto said, like it was a matter of fact. Ashley looked offended as she turned on back her Wii, and Joey looked at Seto like he had six heads. "And why do you say that?"
"There's a serious lack of Solid Snake. How can you get rid of the mercenary but include some pathetic character like Yoshi or Peach or better yet, Pikachu? That's utter bullshit." "Kojima."
Joey looked at Ashley and started to roar in laughter. Mai sat in between these three just looking confused as ever. Ashley glared at her beau. "For your information, I play very well with those three-I mean, not when I roll off the screen with Yoshi, but I could kick your butt with them!"
Seto grabbed the blue Wii controller, sitting back in his seat. "I'd like to see you try."
"Fine!"
The two turned on the game, quickly selecting their characters. Ashley went with Pikachu (The green bandana one), and Seto picked good ol' Solid Snake (in a blue outfit of course). Tossing a coin, Ashley got to pick the stage. The Pokemon Stadium. Joey and Mai watched on, seeing Ashley start with a clear advantage. "I'm gonna beat you up." "Sure, Ashley."
Pikachu was ravaging Snake, hitting many thunders, and rapid spins as possible. Snake was running away from the savage Pikachu, barely landing any hits. When Snake tried to hit Pikachu, it would be diverted because the little Pokemon was too fast. The yellow, electric mouse took it to Seto and Snake. Pikachu was at a cool 40% damage, whereas Snake had a grueling 254%.
Joey watched on in shock as his sister almost put her boyfriend to waste, but Mai kept her eyes on Seto.
Seto almost had a smile on his face, taking glances at Ashley, who kept on spamming the same move over and over. He was clearly giving her a nice start. The arena changed from the classic Pokemon Stadium, to an electrical wonderland, including little treadmills specifically made to knock characters off stage.
Seto led Ashley to one of the treadmills and without thinking, she followed. As Pikachu began to struggle to stay on, Snake took advantage, knocking it out of the sky with his forward smash. Seeing Pikachu fly through the sky, Seto put the Wii controller down, turning his victory smile towards the loser.
"Whatever, you got lucky there." The blonde bit her lip, crossing her arms as she looked at the victor. "Oh please, Amber plays better than you do. I hope Pikachu wasn't your best because then you're just a button spammer."
"You're not getting any soup!" Ashley pouted, making her way towards the kitchen. "
"What a sore loser!" Joey egged her on, taking the spare controller that she left near Kaiba. "We're playing subspace, because I can't get past Tabuu if my life depended on it."
Mai and Ashley immediately made eye contact, the smirks on their faces. Joey Wheeler and Seto Kaiba playing a video game together. It could be a peaceful cooperation, or some serious banter was about to go on.
