Chapter 31

The reception was exceptionally well, and besides the little confrontation with Nathan, everything seemed to go smoothly. Seto and Ashley sat in the back with Thomas and Joey, who were both taking shots of Tequila. They always seemed to end up competing to see who can drink more than the other, and it was certainly entertaining to watch. Ashley noticed that her dad's bosses (yes, they were invited to his wedding), better known as Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, pulled Seto to the side to speak with him. Ashley knew that all deals were sealed with the WWE game being released through Kaiba Corporation and maybe they were going to discuss promotion deals...at a wedding. She also knew that with their getaway and such, they couldn't get a hold of Seto, and she figured that it had to be urgent if they pulled him aside now.

As Joey took his fifth shot, Thomas started to laugh when he saw his son getting a bit tipsy. "The girls made ya soft! You used ta out drink me all the time!" The feminist in Ashley had the burning desire to tell her Uncle Tommy that a girl could drink as much as a guy could, and just because Joey is around girls doesn't mean that he's becoming soft. But she shoved that aside and joined in the conversation.
"I bet I can beat you both!" The guys started to laugh. Before they could respond, Ashley got three shots for herself.

She threw them back with ease, and set the glasses down... "Nah, I can't do this." Tommy and Joey bust out laughing, giving her a high five before throwing back shots again. The girl couldn't help but look over and watch Seto and the McMahons discuss whatever the hell they were discussing. She was a nosey little rat, and just wanted to know every detail when it came to Seto's business deals.

Mai approached her, giving a glare to the two drunk Wheelers. "Come dance with us Ash!" The older blonde grabbed Ashley, dragging her onto the dance floor before she could object. The club music blared through the speakers, and almost everyone was dancing in the middle of the room. Kim was moving along to the music next to Annessa. Nessa was getting down like she wasn't seven months pregnant. Mai begun to move so fluidly through the music, and immediately got lost into the pop music. That left Ashley standing there like an idiot.

"Auntie! Dance with me!" Amber ran up to Ashley grabbing her hands and started to move her tiny body to the music. Ashley was surprised to see that the little girl had moves of her own, moving on beat to the music. They held hands as they danced together, and that brought Emma and Rebecca up to them.

The little girls seemed to have a bit more rhythm than Ashley and that made her a tiny bit embarrassed. It wasn't long before she was off the dance floor when Seto decided to pull her away.

"Dang it I was having fun man! What do you want?" Ashley whined sitting with him at the table with Paul, Stephanie and Joey. "You were having fun there weren't ya?"Joey asks, giggling like a little girl. Ashley knew that he was laughing at her dance moves. "Shut up Joey!" Ashley exclaimed, making the goof laugh even harder. "Hehe you know I'm kiddin'!"

"If you two will kindly act like adults for a minute, we wanted to discuss business." Seto interrupted, sipping his drink. "Alright, what's up?" Joey inquired, glancing at Ashley for a second. Ashley was quiet, eyes locked on Stephanie and Paul.

"As you know, WWE has been in works with Kaiba Corporation regarding our release of our annual video game and We've been going back and forth about how to go about promotion of it. We think you two would be perfect to do it."

"And how exactly do you guys want us to do this?" Joey asked, just confused as ever.

"I've seen The Powers of Pain on NJPW and I want to showcase you guys on my NXT brand." Triple H said, getting straight to the point, as always. Ashley smiled at this, and glanced at Seto, who gave her a wink. "Well, I'm not sure if I can go work full time, I've got three kids and a shop to run, but I can definitely do the live shows you do with NJPW and the local tours." Joey replies, grinning ear to ear.
