Chapter 38

It was a sunny Wednesday morning in Domino City. It was a nice day to have a picnic in the Cherry Blossom park, but it was also a work day. Everyone in the Kaiba Corp Building looked out their windows with envy at the people who were enjoying the beautiful weather.

Ashley made her way to Seto's office for a meeting with Team Leads.  In the past few weeks, Ashley got her job as Lead of Animation back, and things seemed to be back in sync for her. Seto also made Ashley his assistant again. Because basically, the only person who could possibly get his preferences correct was her.

It was the first meeting with leads that she'd been to in awhile, and she was pretty nervous about everything. Her mind ran miles and her body was aching. Her body was sore as can be, her and Seto have been..active as of late, which was a shock to her.

They had a healthy sex life, and that didn't necessarily mean they had sex all the time. On usual weeks, it would be once a week. But lately, Seto had an insatiable appetite for her, and Ashley was stumped over why. But hey, she wasn't complaining one bit. She could deal with the soreness if it meant sex with Seto, and the conversations that took place after, which she really looked forward to also.

Ashley had a few cups of coffee in a holder for Seto and the leads. Seto had her take down everyone's coffee tastes and made sure that she got it right. She was a bit nervous about this morning. She knew that she would be seeing a few familiar faces, and there was one particular face she was getting uneasy butterflies about seeing.

Leon.

That was the big ordeal that Seto had to tell her in person. Weeks ago, Leon was fired from his position as Head of Programming because of his collaboration with Duke to harm Ashley. Seto spared Ashley details, but told her that discussions with their lawyers took place over the next few weeks, and Leon was granted his job back. He argued that the reason he was fired had nothing to do with his work and for personal reasons. So Seto reluctantly gave him back his job. However, he wasn't the Lead anymore and had to work his way up back to the position that he once held.  Ashley had a gut feeling that Seto rehired him because he was best for the programming department and the business in general. Leon was excellent at his job.

It made it very uneasy, which was pretty understandable, considering that he did a number on her knee. If Ashley did not go with her gut feeling and tell Seto that she was with Leon, she'd be dead for sure right now.

Ashley finally got back from the break room and headed into the meeting room on the level just above animation. She stood at the door using her leg to kick the door to knock it. Her heels clicked impatiently as she heard Seto address everyone in there, completely ignoring whoever was knocking on the door.  With a hand full of the coffees, and muffins and breakfast necessities, Ashley was quite stumped on how she was going to open the door.

After a minute or two, Ashley was impatient. She grumbled under her breath before help arrived. She felt a hand on her shoulder and stiffened a bit. Ashley didn't turn around but she knew that cologne anywhere. Armani Acqua Di Gio.  She kept her back to Leon, fear rose to her face, cheeks now burning red and her heart started to race.

"I got cha."

"Uh..erm..Thanks."

Leon opened the door for her, and Ashley quickly made her way inside. Seto was going on about meetings with the board when his eyes narrowed at Leon and Ashley. Ashley quickly had the seat next to Seto and Leon sat directly across from them. Seto watched on as he spoke, looking at Ashley handing off coffees and muffins, her face looking all flustered. Her cheeks red but the rest of her face was almost pale. His gaze turned to Leon,who was flustered as well, looking quite upset at himself.
