Chapter 37

Everyone sans Kim and Randy arrived at the hospital at around 10 pm. Seto, Mokuba and Ashley sat bedside with Annessa, whose contractions were still too far apart from each other to begin the birth process. Annessa sat in the hospital bed with a pout, she had been a grumpy lady all day, and now was no different. She just wanted this child out of her body. Annessa was also worried out of her mind. Her water broke five weeks early.

Will Kenji be okay? God I should've listened to Seto and Ashley when they said to relax. I put myself before my baby boy..just like what our mom did to us.

"Hey Nessa? Babe, are you okay?" Annessa came back to her senses and saw Mokuba just inches away from her face.

"Yeah. Peachy." Nessa muttered, laying her back down on the bed, starting to stare up at the ceiling. "He's going to be okay right?" She asked, taking a deep sigh out.

"It's going to be just fine, I'm more concerned about you than Kenji." Ashley said, hating seeing her sister like this. "If I didn't fight that dumb bitch you wouldn't be in here."

Seto rolled his eyes at that remark. "Oh shut up. There's no controlling you and your anger. Anyway,  I'm sure everything is going to be fine with the baby. He's almost at full term anyway. Blaming yourselves is not going to solve anything. These doctors are the best in the world and they'll make sure that Annessa and Kenji are fine."

"Okay Doctor Seto." Ashley glared at him and he returned a fiery one as well.

"Damn, this must be bad if you're the voice of reason, Seto." Mokuba remarked and that got a little chuckle out of the three.

Then Annessa got serious again. "I'm sorry but I'm just so worried, I just want him to be okay and-"

"We'd be more concerned if you didn't worry Nessa. You're going to be a mom, you'll be worried all the time now." Ashley said with a small smile, and the two Kaibas nodded their head in agreement.

Annessa was helplessly nervous about giving birth. And that made them so uneasy. Was it natural to feel like this? Seriously, everyone in this room was in need of a Xanax. Everyone except Seto that is.

"Oh come on! You've all had months to prepare for this!" Seto raised his voice at the other three. "SO WHAT? THEY'RE HAVING A BABY." Ashley yelled at the top of her voice, making Mokuba and Annessa jump.

"Why the hell are you screaming on top of your lungs? Seriously, can't you act civilized for once? Shut up." Seto and Ashley ensued arguing, and Annessa and Mokuba just watched on.

"You're the one who let me go. We could've got up and left. So why don't you shut the fuck up about that already?"

"Just because I let you go doesn't mean you can lose fucking control. You're a grown ass woman, you can control yourself. I did not expect you to pull her fucking hair extensions out. What the fuck is wrong with you?"

"Calling my nephew an anchor baby is fucking bullshit. And she spit. in. my. face." Ashley said that slowly and surely. "That gap toothed bitch is lucky she walked out of there with her gap teeth!"

"And you hit your father. Did he seriously deserve that? He didn't egg her or you on at all! He was trying to get her the hell out of there!"

Now that just pissed Ashley off.

"HE DIDN'T DESERVE IT?" Ashley screamed and then took a deep breath.  "Alright. I'm out. Mokuba, text me when it's time." Ashley stood and gave Mokuba and Annessa a kiss, before making her way out of the room.

She didn't expect Seto to follow her. Everyone in the waiting room saw Ashley's expression as she made her way out of the room, and then Seto's as he trailed behind her.
