Back during the Matthew Patel fight when Scott was pulled through the portal, he wasn't just pulled to another exit, he was pulled through time. Until eventually he's spat out 14 years in the future. The masked figure who grabbed him standing over him when he landed in a pond.

Scott: Where are we?

TORONTO, CANADA. THE FUTURE.

Scott: ...When are we?

The masked figure takes off his mask and hood.

Scott: ...And you're—

Old Scott: Scott Pilgrim.

Old Scott took his younger self for a walk. While they did a passerby on a hoverboard passed by leaving Young Scott with many surprises, one of which being that he survived over the age of 25.

Old Scott: Yeah, Man. Might even make it to forty if we're lucky.

Scott: This is wild ! So what's up with us? Are we rich and famous? Do we win lots of cool fights?

Old Scott: We do okay.

Scott: The fact that we can grow a beard alone, very impressive.

Old Scott: Finally. Someone appreciates it.

Stepping onto a streetcard, it blows off any dust before allowing them to enter. After making it to their stop, they get off and walk before coming to a large wall with a door. The door opens, revealing a futuristic luxury house on the property.

Scott: Woah! We live here!? No way!

Old Scott: Yes way. Here, let me show you our house.

Going up the steps, rings of water make an archway leaving Scott continuing to be awed.

Scott: This place is so cool! Is there a reason you brought me here? Was kinda in the middle of fighting some dude, he said he was in some kind of hockey league...?

Old Scott: Ha! The League of Evil Exes! That takes me back...So many adventures ago.

Scott: That's right! Evil exes! Whatever happened with that?

Old Scott: Well let me break it down for ya. Fighting those exes was the biggest mistake of our entire life.

Scott: Because we lost...?

Old Scott: No...Because we won.

He walks toward a tunnel entrance leading under the home. The end being an entrance to a V.R. Room, the door looking like an old console controller.

Scott: Woah! V.R!? You have virtual reality in the future!?

Old Scott: Oh we have it all, the future is more futuristic than they originally predicted. You're gonna love it here!

Scott: I am? For how long?

Old Scott silences his younger self as he inputs the code on the d-pad to open the door. The doors open revealing an empty white room with a single V.R headset.

Old Scott: Come on.

Stepping on a pressure plate, a rack full of cartridges pops up from the floor. While Scott tries to use the headset.

Old Scott: Give this one a spin.

He hands Young Scott a cartridge with "Good Memories" written on it except, Good had been crossed off. Scott plugs it into the back and looks into the headset. The first thing Scott sees was him and Ramona when they first met at the party.
