["leap day"]

"Come on Callie, it's leap day not sleep day..." My dad bursts into my room awaking me from my very nice dream about Ryan Gosling.

"Dad do you have to do this every four years? It's 7am." I shriek looking at my alarm clock.

"We have been blessed with an extra 24 hours, we can't waste it by sleeping on working, we have to do something extraordinary that's why your mom has booked us in for trapeze class." My dad yells.

"You know I can't do that." I look down at my bump.

I'm now 5 months in and it feels like it's flown by. I've loved every second of it. I'm gonna miss being pregnant once little bump arrives. I think Jack will miss it too. He's been so good ever since we both found out, helping me out, not letting me lift a finger. That's what I will probably miss most when I'm not pregnant anymore. Not having to do anything.

"You can be our pregnant cheer girl." My dad suggests as I roll my eyes and hide myself back under the covers.

Later on, I get dressed and head downstairs finding my mom crying at the TV on the sofa.

"Oh my— mom what's wrong?" I speak while my mouth is full with chips.

"There's a little baby whale on the TV, one of these documentaries, and it's just lost its mom whale." I take a seat next to her as my other sisters join, my sad eyes fixed to the TV.

"Honey, what time do we need to leave?" My mom wipes away the tears from her cheeks and peers over to my dad in the kitchen.

"Whatever's good for you sweetie. Maybe 20 minutes?"

"20 minutes!" I yell shooting over to my Dad.

"Are you kidding me! I can't get ready—" Hayley shrieks beside me in unison.

"Whenever you're ready." My dad opens his arms and beams with a smile as I sink myself back into the couch and fold my arms.

Back in my room upstairs I finish off my last curl and grab my purse. At the end of the stairs I see Hayley slung over the banister burying her face in her arms.

"There they are." My dad announces.

"Stop rushing us!" Alex snarks as I reach the bottom.

"Oh buddy what's wrong?" My dad pats Luke's shoulder as I peer over.

"I've been feeling a lot of stress lately, my heads all foggy and I'm kind of feeling emotional..." Luke speaks in an almost robotic sounding voice as I narrow my eyes.

"Well I sure hope you're better soon because you really need your wits about you when you're trapezing." My dad replies as my mom speaks up.

"You know Phil that's weird because the four of us haven't been exactly been feeling our best either."
