"Hey, here you go." My mom places pancakes on each of our plates however I am too busy trying to send this stupid email to my stupid boss about stupid client.

"Guys, breakfast. Phil hello." I hear the spatula contact with my father's head.

"Totally with you, kids put your dishes in the dishwasher." My dad chimes in.

"Okay. No, that's it. Gadgets down now all of you."

"What are you freaking out about now?" Haley pipes up as my eyes are still fixated on my laptop screen.

"Because you are all so involved in your little gizmos nobody is even talking... Phil what are you doing that is so important?" My mom speaks peering down to my dad.

"Oh I'm locking in my fantasy roster, I'm unbeatable..." He proudly smirks.

"Die stupid Die." Luke exclaims.

"Come on Luke down now." My mom fails again.

"Hold on Mom I'm about to beat Dads record."

"You heard your mother." My dad snatches the device out his hand as I quietly scoff to myself.

"Come on Callie, your boss won't fire you if you take a little time off."

"Mom you don't understand, this is a very important client and if I don't get this email to them within the next hour my ass will be on the line." I huff.

Peering down the lower of my screen I see a message from Hayley pop causing laughter to burst from my body.

My mom creeps behind me and reads the message.

"Mom's insane. Thanks Hayley."

"At least we talk." Hayley shrugs as I let out a little smirk.

"Callie downstairs now." Later that afternoon I hear my mother's voice from downstairs.

"What's going on?" I sheepishly ask as I view my siblings sitting on the couch with my parents standing near the fireplace.

"Just some weird intervention." Hayley glances over.

"Hayley no. Starting today there is going to be a one week ban on all phones, texting, video chatting, video gaming anything on the internet..." My mother lists as I plant on the couch wide eyed.

"How am I supposed to do my homework?" Alex asks.

"The way I did."

"With a chisel and a piece of stone..." My dad laughs as my mother stares him down.

"Mom, what am I supposed to go my earnings rely on the internet, without what am I going to do?" I question frantically.
