["the old wagon"]
"Mom, what are you guys doing out here?" Heading out of the house I see my family rummaging through an old car which has been kept in the garage for the last ten years.
"Oh hey honey, we are selling the old car, it was just sitting the garage for God knows how long." She rakes her hand through her hair wiping away the dirt from her forehead.
"That to bad it, I loved this car..." I place my hand upon the steering while going back through the memories.
"You have never drove it." My mom points out.
"I know. I just mean that I will miss it when it's gone, knowing that it won't be sat in the garage collecting dust anymore." I shrug while gritting my teeth.
Jack and I used to, how do you say it. Make use of the car back in the day. One day we found an old mattress stuffed in the back and I think you know what came next. Actually, we probably shouldn't have done that thinking back on it now seeing as though it was parents old car when they were teenagers.
"Where are you off too?" My mom points out my handbag.
"Jack just called apparently Uncle Mitch is doing some DIY today and he wants me over for extra support and Grandpa too. You know so no one gets shot by a nail gun." I blurt as my mother continuously nods.
"Hellooo..." I yell while walking into my Uncles house to find Cam in the living room.
"Hello Callie. Thank you so much for coming over when I called it's just I knew I needed an extra pair of hands."
"Oh no it's fine. Where's Jack?" I ask panning around the room.
"I'm sure he said he was on his way down—"
"Well, I found the— I found the nail gun." Mitch walks in nail gun in hand as he pierces the ceiling. Nail gun 1 Mitchell 0.
"Oh hey Callie. What are you doing here?" As he takes a quick step to my body I back away.
"Cam called me you know just to help with the princess castle for Lily." I grit my teeth.
"That's fun." He replies.
"Jack and Grandpa should be down any second now..."
"Jack and Grandpa too? Cam did you call them, I told you we were fine..." Mitchell turns to Cam who instantly takes a step back.
"I just wanted a few extra pairs of hands..." Cam and I exchange looks amongst ourselves.
"Weird thing the nail gun was wrapped in an old blanket stuffed in the top shelf of the closet!?" Mitch moans as I produce a soft smirk.
