["baby on board"]

Jack and I walk into the Dunphy household with Cami in her car seat sound asleep. She looks so peaceful as I guide her into her new home.

"And this is your new hallway where your Uncle Luke got his head stuck in the banister, multiple times." I show Cami her surroundings.

"Callie, she's asleep and I don't think she needs to know about Luke and his problems." Jack closes the door the quietly as I roll my eyes and head towards the kitchen to find my mom and sisters.

"There you are. How's my little angel?" My mom bends down to admire Cami.

"She slept the whole car ride back, and the doctor said just to take it easy for the next few weeks, heaven." I raise my head to ceiling.

"I'm happy to take on all the work." Jack nods.

"Work. Your family is work?" I question him.

"But of advice for fatherhood Jack don't mess with mama bear." Mom taps Jack on his shoulder as he smirks.

"Oh Alex how was prom? Did you have a fun night?"

"Oh it was amazing, after I stayed to help clean up which was awesome because I got to meet next years trig teacher." Alex proudly exclaims.

"That is not the prom I remember." I mutter under my breath as Hayley walks into the kitchen in her prom dress clinging to her head.

"I have such a bad headache..."

"The prom I remember." I state folding my arms.

"Hayley were you drinking?" My mom questions a drunk Hayley.

"Mom do we really have to do this? I say I wasn't when we both know that's not true. Aren't we past this point in our relationship."

"No we are not young lady." My mom snaps.

"Oh god I'm having flashbacks of my teenage years. When I got called young lady usually what came next was a representation of my future from Dad." I sigh.

"Here drink this is for your hangover." My mom hands over a green coloured drink to Hayley before hearing Camis gurgles behind my back.

"Oh I think it's food time. I've got this. Come on baby girl..." Jack goes to take her into the living room.

"Hold on. Mama needs a kiss." I kiss her cheeks before Jacks as he carries her into the living room.

"Eww I'm gonna throw up..." Hayley takes a sip of her drink before running out of the kitchen. Alex sniffs the drink and expresses a face of disgust.

"That's a hangover cure?" She asks.

"No." My mom bluntly states.

Later that day we gather at my grandfathers house to celebrate his birthday. I am over by the dining room feeding Cami with Jack sat beside me.

"I can't believe it." Jack smiles as I catch his gaze.

"Can't believe what?" I question while bouncing Cami.

"How lucky I've ended up. And we made a beautiful baby girl who also happens to be perfect." He pecks my lips as I smile.

"I know. We are lucky." I lower my gaze before hearing Gloria head towards us.

"Callie, I've been waiting to get my turn of that little one." Gloria softly hums as I pass her into her arms. "Ayy she is gorgeous. She's perfect, I can't get enough of that baby smell." Gloria cups her hands and gently pats her back.

"It's delicious isn't it." I watch Gloria's eyes fade dull as she quickly passes Cami back into my arms.

"Gloria? Are you okay?" I ask her as she looks around her surroundings.

"It's nothing. Well, there is something I need to tell you both..."

"We're back with the birthday boy..." My Dad yells as he enters with my Grandpa.

"It can wait." Gloria rushes off as I shoot a confused glance to Jack.

"What could that have been about?"

"Don't ask me. Your family surprises me everyday." He takes a swig of his soda.

"Oh this little one will be just fine now that he know where he stands. In the shadow of your new baby." Mannys voice echoes from the hallway as me and Jack stride to the entrance way seeing my family stood around.

"What is going on? Did Manny just say..."

"He's talking about, I am pregnant." Gloria jumps into my words as my mouth hangs wide. "And if you are too set in your old ways, I can raise in on my own!"

"Are you done?" My Grandpa interjects.

"Yes." She forcefully states.

"That is the greatest news I've ever heard. I've spent the day hearing about what my future had in store for me and I didn't like it one bit, and now you're telling me I can have a fresh start. I think I'm gonna cry."

"I'm way ahead of you. Stupid hormones." I sigh in the background as Jack wraps his arm around my shoulder and pulls me closer.

"It's gonna be great."

"I'm gonna get so fat." Gloria whines.

"Mostly great." Grandpa smiles and hugs Gloria.

Jack and I have decided that he can move into the Dunphy household. We did have the idea of me moving into the flat with him but I need to be close to my family. Also when we need a night away we can quickly escape with no questions asked.
