~No Point of View. Ships: Mick Mars x Izzy Stradlin, Axl Rose x Slash, Duff McKagan x Steven Adler, Tommy Lee x Nikki Sixx and Vince Neil x Razzle~
The living room of the rented mansion was alive with laughter and music, the smell of booze and leftover snacks hanging in the air. Motley Crue and Guns N' Roses had agreed to keep it small this year—just the two bands, no big industry blowout, no press, no chaos. Just friends, a little family they'd made along the way, ringing in the '90s together.
Mick was sitting in the corner of the room with Izzy, the two of them nestled on a worn leather couch away from the main chaos. Mick's arm was draped casually over Izzy's shoulder, and Izzy was nursing a drink, his head leaning against Mick's. They weren't big on public displays of affection, but the comfort between them was palpable.
Nearby, Axl and Slash were tangled together on the floor like overgrown kids, arguing over some card game Duff had taught them earlier in the evening. Axl was laughing harder than anyone had seen him in a long time, his head thrown back, while Slash kept teasing him with mock outrage every time he lost.
Duff and Steven had claimed the kitchen, where they were "taste-testing" all the half-finished cocktails people had abandoned. Steven was giggling uncontrollably, his cheeks flushed from alcohol and affection, while Duff leaned in to whisper something in his ear, making Steven laugh even harder.
On the other side of the room, Tommy and Nikki were sprawled on the floor with a box of board games that neither of them could quite figure out how to play in their current state. Every now and then, Nikki would lean over to steal a kiss or mutter something ridiculous, making Tommy dissolve into laughter.
And Vince... Vince was with Razzle. Somehow, even after all this time, they'd found their way back to each other, and now Vince couldn't stop grinning. They were sharing a plate of leftover appetizers, Vince occasionally sneaking one into Razzle's mouth just to see him roll his eyes and laugh.
As the countdown began, everyone gathered around the massive TV that someone had turned to the New Year's Eve broadcast.
"Ten... nine..."
Mick glanced at Izzy, who was already looking up at him with that quiet, shy smile that melted him every time.
"Eight... seven..."
Axl grabbed Slash's hand, pulling him closer. Slash's curls fell in his face, and Axl pushed them aside, his grin softening.
"Six... five..."
Steven tugged on Duff's sleeve, giggling as Duff turned to him with a knowing smirk.
"Four... three..."
Nikki reached for Tommy, their hands tangling together as Tommy's eyes sparkled with mischief.
"Two... one..."
The room erupted with cheers, laughter, and noise makers.
Mick leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss to Izzy's lips, the kind that spoke of quiet devotion.
Axl pulled Slash in by the collar of his shirt, kissing him with all the passion and fire he was known for, while Slash laughed against his lips.
Duff wrapped Steven in his arms, lifting him slightly off the ground as he kissed him deeply, both of them laughing as they nearly toppled over.
Tommy and Nikki practically dove at each other, their kiss loud and messy, but filled with so much affection that it didn't matter.
And Vince, grinning like a fool, cupped Razzle's face in his hands and kissed him like they were the only two people in the room, the cheers and chaos fading away.
When they finally pulled apart, everyone was laughing, hugging, and clinking glasses. The new decade had officially begun, and if this night was any indication, it was going to be one hell of a ride.
~Happy New Year~
