Here we are in the studio, about to record this fun song with Davy. "Now?" I said looking at Tommy. "You know my girl, now?" I said. "You know my girl just called me up and she woke from me from my sleep!" I sang as Davy made a snoring noise as I laughed. "You should have heard the things she said. You know she hurt my feelings deep I'm gonna buy me a dog!" I sang. "A dog?" "A dog." I repeated from Davy. "Why?" "Why?" I said as we laughed.
"Cause I need a friend now!" I sang trying not to laugh. "Babe you need all the friends you can get I'm telling ya" Davy said as I laughed. "I'm gonna buy me a dog! My girl, my girl don't love me no how!" I sang looking at Davy. "Don't ruin my song! It's the only song I have!" I said as Davy laughed. "It was already ruined when it was wrote!" He said as I forgot where I was. "Uh, where's the verse? She used to bring me....my, my newspaper!" I sang as Davy laughed.
"You don't even know where it's at!" He said. "Cause she knew where it was at! She used to keep me so contented. But I can teach a dog to do that!" I sang laughing throughout most of it. "I'm gonna buy me a dog!" "You couldn't teach a dog to do that you can only train elephants!" Davy said as I burst into laughter. "Cause I need a friend now" I sang as Davy joined in, "I need a friend now! Yeah!" He sang.
"I'm gonna buy me a dog!" I sang. "A dog, here Rover, Fido, Spot!" Davy said. "My girl, my girl don't love me no how. One" I sang as Davy repeated, "One." "Two" "Two!" "One two three four five six seven hike!" I said as he came in late. "Hike! I was late on that one! I just got back from Africa, you know" He said as I smiled. "I was playing cards with the natives!" "Oh, Zulus?" I asked looking at him. "No, I usually won, ah ah!" He said as I laughed.
"I wish I had a glass of water" I said as he looked confused, "Why are you thirsty?" He asked. "No, I want to see if my neck leaks" I said as we both laughed. "I'd buy a raccoon but John already has one." I said. "35 bucks!" He said as I laughed. "Where do I come in?" I said as the guy said "Get ready!" "I I'm gonna buy me a dog!" "A dog!" "A dog! Mmm yeah!" We sang together. "As I need a friend now!" "Yeah yeah!" He sang after me.
"Boop, boop, sh-bop, bop, ramalama, I'm gonna buy me a dog!" I sang as he laughed. "Want my girl, my girl don't love me no how! Now now brown cow!" We sang the last part together as we were laughing. "I think I'm gonna buy me a dog yes sir, I'm gonna buy me a dog. If I was looking for a word to describe what I'm gonna buy I think dog would be the word." I said as Davy laughed. "Would it? Would it be dog?" He asked.
"It would be dog! It would come springing from my lips! Dog!" I said making a boing sound as Davy and I laughed hard. "Springing from!" He said laughing. "Let's get out of here come!" He said as I laughed. "Springing from my-" I said through laughs. "Is that it Tony? Can you turn it off please?" Davy asked looking at him. "Can somebody open the door and let us out!? THEY'RE COMING TO TAKE US AWAY!" He said as the record stopped as we both broke down onto the floor in a fit of laughter as we were clutching our stomachs.
"That was bloody brilliant!" He said as I wiped away the tear. "My god that was awesome!" I said pulling him in for a kiss as he blushed and kissed back. "I didn't think you actually liked me-" He said as I sighed contently. "Nah, I really do" I said as he smiled and cuddled up to me. "If I could buy you I would" I said as he burst into laughter. "You are such a weirdo!" He said slapping my chest as we were both on the floor laughing. Oh what a fun time we have
