Rachel
Some campers from Camp Jupiter had come to Camp Half-Blood, once again, to pick up Jason. Jason had said that he'd be doing a lot of traveling between camps making sure that all gods, including the minor gods were given sacrifices and that all their children would have a camp to go to, Greek or Roman. It was about that time for Jason to head off to Camp Jupiter again for a few months. When the campers arrived, CHB greeted them with smiling faces, dinner, and of course, a game of capture the flag. Rachel loved meeting the campers, because every time they came, there was always someone different to meet, but this time they were all familiar faces. In this group of campers were Frank, Hazel, Reyna, Dakota, and Octavian.
Rachel had hear some pretty bad stuff about this "Octavian", but honestly she didn't think he was so bad, maybe. Sure, he almost started the biggest war in mortal and demigod history, but it was just his pride getting to him. Then again, he did call her a "stupid greek"... he probably called all the Greeks stupid. Even though she's mortal, she loved the Greek campers, she loved CHB, so of course she took offense. He also did doubt that she was the Oracle, that, "There's no way Apollo would ever choose a dumb Greek, let alone, a mortal, to replace the Spirit of the Oracle Delphi! HA! That's a JOKE! Like you!"
Yeah, okay, she saw why everyone hated him. But when she saw Octavian walk into camp, everyone swarmed to greet the campers, except him. He seemed to be putting on this tough guy act. She watched him completely ignore them and walk off. But something felt weird, she followed him to the pavilion. He sat at the Apollo table alone, no one else was there, he pulled out some papers and "looked" like he was working, but Rachel was just close enough to see his expression.
Was he sad? Stressed out probably,... no his face says more... Rachel saw something most people have probably never seen before, a single tear fell from his face. Rachel didn't "exactly" have anything to hold against Octavian, yeah, he called her dumb and stupid, then again, it's not the first time she's heard it before, it is New York after all, she's heard worse.
"Uh, Octavian?" she walked up to him. "...Welcome back to camp..."
"Huh?! Oh, yeah thanks,... What do you want? I'm busy!" he said, trying not to make eye contact.
Rachel sat down across from him, he has to look at her now, "So whatcha working on?" she leaned in, trying to read the papers.
He covered them and frustrated he said, "That's NONE of your business!" he grabbed at the papers, but Rachel snatched one up before he could reach it. "Give It To ME!"
"WHOA! This is amazing! You draw?!! It looks great!" In her hands, was a drawing of New Rome. He had sketched it himself, and she didn't know whether it was before or after Leo accidentally blew it up, but it really did look great!

'Whoa'?, 'Amazing'?, 'Great'? Octavian had never really heard those words about anything he did,... ever, and when he did, there was usually a lot of sarcasm... But Rachel was serious?
He watched as Rachel admired his sketch, he didn't see what was so great about it, it was just a sketch, he's done way better than that, yet Rachel seems to love it... is this some kind of trick? Octavian really didn't know what to think.
Then he snapped out of his "phase", "Hey! I said Give it to ME!"
And she snatched up another one! What is it with her??? But for some reason, he wasn't mad, and he didn't really try to grab it back, he just sighed and put his head down. He could feel her pulling papers from under his arms, he wasn't even trying to hold them down anymore. Then he sat up, put his elbow on the table and put his fist under his chin.
