Chapter Twenty Eight
Courtyard confessions
Upon returning to the castle, the still strange atmosphere which had been established whilst the teenaged boy's mother had been present finally lifted. Bronwyn found herself feeling better but filled with guilt as soon as the woman was no longer present. She felt as though she should be feeling much more grateful for everything the woman had done for her, the money she had spent on her within minutes of meeting her for the first time. But she couldn't get over the heavy atmosphere having to meet the new adult had generated.
Not to mention returning to the school meant returning to everything being written in English. Bronwyn realised her dyslexia, the thing she was still struggling to come to terms with in everyday life, was making her time even more difficult to understand even the most basic things the longer they had been in Italy. And she had to realise she would have to struggle even more with the new language especially if she continued to be involved with the Zabini wizard stood beside her. Damn pureblood families and their need to speak more than one language, and her family only really having English as the French from the Black family had died out in her father's generation.
The courtyard was quiet upon their entry and Bronwyn took relief in being able to sit down for a little while with nobody overly bothering to look at the pair. Perhaps the student body was getting used to seeing the pair together, or maybe it was that the people in Milan just couldn't seem to get past staring at the pair. The many bags of which they had purchased for Bronwyn laid discarded on the floor for now, considering Bronwyn didn't want to separate just yet to put them away. She felt like she deserved some time with the boy alone, after all she had spent most of his birthday sharing him with his mother and other workers she just wanted some alone time. After all he got her for a whole day where it was just the two of them, it was only fair otherwise. At least in her own opinion.
"You'll need to put those away shortly, so they don't get damaged." Blaise commented his attention to the bags Bronwyn had discarded temporarily. But her eyes remained focused on him.
"I will, I just want some more time with you." Bronwyn spoke softly, it was not out of embarrassment she knew that actually she felt as though she was testing the waters a little bit. Trying to determine what would work to get her way. And she had a feeling the whole wide eyed, puppy dog, eyes were not going to work on the boy beside her. Actually, she was pretty sure he didn't like dogs, he was much more of a cat person.
"We've been together all day."
"I shared you all day, I just want B&B time." Bronwyn whined a little bit taking his hand in her own and slotting her fingers through his own. Blaise responded by lifting their joint hands and placing a kiss against the back of her hand. Before letting out a chuckle.
"B&B time, where did you come up with that from?" He laughed as he spoke and Bronwyn felt a small blush form curse her fair skin a ginger locks she could never hide any form of blush which took over her features.
"Do you like it? Fred and George were throwing things out the other day and stuck on calling us B&B."
"Your brothers are real characters." Blaise laughed a final time before going quiet. Deciding rather to rest his head upon the top of Bronwyn's allowing the silence to pass over them.
"Happy birthday my sweet boy." Bronwyn's voice was low as she spoke, barely above a whisper. But the squeeze of her interlinked hand was enough to know he had heard her.
"Yours?"
"Mine." She confirmed.
A/N:
Hi Sorry this one is short, I have tried like no less than 30 times to make it longer but have been unable to do so. Therefore, to progress I have to publish a short and sweet chapter to create a longer one for you all very soon.
Also realised that in nearly 30 chapters they haven't kissed yet...
Maybe by chapter 30 I'll do it???
