"I promise you, Lindsay. Ryder probably emerged from hell instead of Mrs. Hood's v.agina," I grumble, slamming my locker shut while Lindsay laughs at my weird comment. "Stop laughing! It's true," I whine.

Lindsay's bright hair falls in between her eyes and she pushes it back behind her ear. Her laughter makes her body shake and her hair fall into her face. She continues to laugh, so I swiftly hit her upper arm with my History textbook. "Ow!" Lindsay cries, quickly slapping me back, but in the boob.

"Why'd you slap Kendall's boob?" Ashton giggles from behind Lindsay's small frame. He smiles down at her, looking at her like she was his whole world. But she stared at him with a look not as equally adoring as Ashton's. That poor boy is head over heels for her, and she just sees him as a friend. Wow, that must suck.

"She hit me with her textbook," Lindsay protests, pouting like a child who didn't get what she wanted. She deserved that hit. If she kept laughing at me, all the pens and pencils in my
pencil case would go up her a.ss.

Ashton and Lindsay both stare at me with widened eyes as I glare. "Oh my God, you're so violent," Ashton states, ruffling his curls. "Why are you so grumpy? Are you on your period? Do you need me to go get your favorite chocolate? I can go get it, but I think I'm two dollars shor-"

"Ashton, stop talking," I yell, quickly covering my ears by clamping my hands over them. "The kid I had to babysit put me in a bad mood last night and it just won't go away," I groan as Ashton frowns at me.

"Do you need a hug?" he smiles gleefully, opening his arms to me. I roll my eyes and push his body lightly, accidentally making him stumble backwards. Right into Calum. Well s.hit, I really shouldn't have done that. Oh my God, what do I do to make it better? I'm such a screw up.

His already dark and stormy eyes squinted at Ashton with hatred. Calum, without any hesitation, slams Ashton into the lockers, gaining everyone's attention in the corridor. My eye widen staring at the sight in front of me. My best friend's shirt was being wrinkled by Calum's balled fists.

I didn't know what to do. Lindsay stood next to me with her jaw almost hitting the floor. I could tell by the way she attempted to step forward, but never moved from her spot that she wanted to help our friend, but didn't know how. I grasp onto her wrist, nodding my head as if telling her I got this. She vigorously shook her head, muttering something like,"Are you f.ucking kidding me? You can't go up against an angry six foot tall giant." But I shrug my shoulders and let go of her wrist.

"So you think that you can just knock into me in the f.ucking hallway? Huh? Watch where you're going and maybe you won't have this black eye-"

I awkwardly tap on his shoulder as Calum's fist retracts, about to punch Ashton in the eye. Instead of saying something else to catch his attention, I awkwardly poke at his back like the lamest loser possible. His back muscles immediately tense as I continue to poke at his back until he turns around. Wow, I could feel my heart beating out of chest. I could feel it climbing through my throat. There was just an awkward lump there, keeping me from speaking when Calum turned around to face me.

He drops Ash, and faces me with a smirk. Ashton scrambles away fast, running into Lindsay and tried to tug her away. He knew I could handle this, but right now, I felt like I was going to faint. Lindsay stops Ashton from trying to run. She wanted to stay and watch.

The two of them were my best friends. They've seen me embarrass myself so many times, but if I continue poking at Calum - his chest now since he turned around - I would surely cower away and die of humiliation.

"Why are you poking me? Who even are you?" Calum questions, grabbing my hand and ceasing me from poking at his hard chest. I uncomfortably stare up into his amused eyes and then down at his smirking lips. He made me very uncomfortable.

Once I've finished observing his face, my lips formed into a bitter scowl. I rip my hand from his. "I'm Ashton's friend. I'm Lindsay's friend too. You constantly bully them and honestly, I'm sick of it," I spat, still glaring at him. His eyes were more confused now as I continued to gaze up into them. I was hoping my death glare would make him cower a bit, but he stood his ground and continued to smirk down at me. It annoyed the s.hit out of me.

"Well aren't you feisty? That's a really sexy quality, Princess," Calum says, making my skin boil. The idiot has the nerve to flirt me when I'm trying to tell him off for being such an a.sshat. The fact that he called me a pet name with the cockiest tone annoyed me to the extent. He was so relaxed and okay with the way I'm acting. With his confident smirk, he looks at me as if he thought I could be his new toy of the week. His cocky attitude immediately infuriated me.

"Listen here, you idiotic piece of horse s.hit. You do not have the right to make fun of Ashton for being smart. You do not have the right to make fun of Lindsay for being herself. You do not have the right to insult anyone for doing anything you do not agree with. People should be able to be who they want to be without fearing that they won't reach society's standards. You are the type of person that make people feel like they can't be who they are. You are the type of person who thinks the world revolves around him. You are the type of person who thinks that everyone needs to follow what you think and what you do because you can't even get your head out of your own a.ss for one second to realize that everyone is different. Not everyone can reach your stupid standards. So because not everyone can be who you want them to be, should not give you the right to be a self centered p.rick and pick on my friends. If I see you or even hear about doing what you just did to Ashton, to any of my friends, or anyone, then I will not hesitate to break your nose," I seethe, anger coming out of me. The rage from last night and the rage from seeing my friend being treated like nobody should fueled me to stand up to Calum. He annoys me to the point where I want to shove my face into a cactus.

Without another word, I walk over to my two friends who had the largest grins on their faces when they saw Calum's dumbfounded expression. I grab my bag that was slung over Lindsay's shoulder and drag the two of my buddies away before Calum can say another word.

I absolutely despised his existence.
