AHAHAHAHAHAHAH IM ALIVE DID YOU MISS ME
**
I didn't know what I was doing with myself. I tried calling Lindsay to help pick out an outfit for my first date with Calum, but she kept suggesting every black clothing item from my closet. As much as I like the color, I'm not going full out emo. Ashton and Luke weren't any help either due to the fact that they kept suggesting the most frivolous, promiscuous outfits that came from their dirty, teenage boy minds.
My dog tilted his head to the side, looking at me with those sad eyes. I could feel his judgement and sympathy radiating from his gigantic, pitbull body.
"Stop looking at me like that," I whined, stomping my feet and pulling another not good enough shirt over my head. My closet and bedroom floor was a mess. Thousands of clothes littered the ground like trash, random piles of cloth in random places. I wasn't going to clean this up anytime soon.
Sighing loudly, I pulled a plain black and white striped shirt over my messy hair that I still needed to style and tugged a random pair of ripped, light-washed jeans over my legs. Jumping a little so I could fit better into the denim, I finally buttoned up and zipped the fly before yelling a, "Aha!" and turning to face my dog, Beau. "This is good! I look nice, right?!" I happily asked, spinning around to show off to my dog, who most likely didn't care.
He gave me a soft woof, too lazy to bark in agreement, and I smiled even wider. I hoped he understood me, so I jogged over to my vanity while blasting the Top 40 Hits from my speakers. Sitting in the chair and glancing in the mirror at the wavy, dark brown mess that was my hair, I grimaced and laughed a little at how unattractive I can be.
Dragging a brush through my hair as more music played, I sang along joyfully applying my eyeliner and mascara. "Fuck," I yelled, messing up my eyeliner wings once again. I pivoted my body to look at Beau with black lines everywhere. "Dude, look at how the right one is so much thicker, but the left one reaches out more to my hairline. My life sucks. You have it easy just eating and sleeping as you please. You don't have to worry about bad eyeliner," I rant, wiping away the wings grumpily before settling with a basic line on my eyelid, a line that made me feel ten times better about myself.
I swiped a couple coats of mascara on my eyelids, but cursed once again when I dragged it too far up and onto my eyelid. "Why is this so hard?!" I cried, slamming my forehead onto the surface of my vanity. "It's just Calum," I mumbled. "He's not even that hard to impress," I convinced myself, turning to Beau for some encouragement. He only laid his big head onto his front paws. "Okay, fine! I get it. I'm a mess," I wailed, giving up with mascara and eyeliner and slipping on a pair of neon socks. But of course, there's a hole, causing my toe to protrude through the cotton fabric.
"You're overthinking this," my dad said, glancing over at me, as I attempted to slip on my pair of white converse without untying the laces because I think I could get it on quicker. My eyes squint in distaste as he laughed at my feeble attempt of trying to get my shoes on. "Just calm down, and you will be fine. I can't make any promises about this Jared character."
"That wasn't even close!" I laughed, stalking over to my vanity once again to spritz some perfume on myself, a One Direction one to be exact.
My dad started to walk over to sit on my bed. "Whatever his name is, he's late for your date," he sing-songed, making me roll my eyes because he was only two minutes past the time he promised. But all of a sudden, there was a knocking echoing through the small house and my father and I began to sprint downstairs, trying to beat the other.
Because my father's legs are so much faster than mine, the door swung open to reveal a tight fitted, black t-shirt covering Calum's muscular body and he even had a single rose in his hand, shocked to see my dad's face instead of my own.
