Hello there to each and every one of you boys and girls I hope that all of you are having a good day today and that you are all ready to read the next chapter of my game of thrones knights of the round table story which I hope that all of you are enjoying as much as I am writing it for all of you guys and girls. Now for my question of the day and that is what is the biggest misconception you see people think about or movies make about sieges? For me I think it would have to be that all sieges end with people storming the walls either being repelled or taking the target but in history this is not true, sure this did happen at times but most time more people just starved out the settlement since it dose take more time but there is less chance of losing a large number of your army. That is just me and I would like to know what you all think and now with that all said and done lets get on with the story shall we.

Balinor POV

Standing atop the battlements of the first gatehouse I watched as the Tyrell army arrived, there were hundreds of different banners among them, the red huntsman of Tarly, the red and green apples of both branches of house Fossoway, the fox surrounded by blue flowers of house Florent, silver caltrops of house Footly, the golden tree of house Rowan with the golden chains on blue of house Roxton, the three black castles of house Peake, the yellow centaur of house Caswell, the five yellow cranes of house Crane, the three beehives of house Beesbury, the bulls skull of house Bulwer, the six sunflowers of house Cuy, the black and orange moths of house Mullendore, the quortered black roses and sliver cups of house Costayne, but there overlord house Hightower was not here for some reason, also I spotted the three oak leaf's of house Oakheart, the black thunder bolts of house Leygood, the green vines on house Kidwell, the doubled headed green and white Gyronny eagle of house Graves, the red white and yellow feathers of house Cockshaw, the red ants of house Ambrose, the border of different color flowers of house Meadows, the white sun under a chevron of house Ashford, the red chevron with three white balls of house Ball. Them and over a hundred other banners flapped in the winds and without needing to look I also knew ships flying sails that had the purple grapes of house Redwyne, the green hand on a golden shield with green fire around the shield and a red border of house Chester, the iron shield with silver balls on a field of longships of house Grimm, the wooden shield with iron balls on a field of blue and white wavy lines of house Hewentt, and the white rose of house Serry. Those houses were known for their naval history so they would be blockading Storms end as well as Tarth and other such castles by the coast, hopefully they will sink in ships breakers bay. Looking back to the oncoming army I could not see the end of the line and all I have seen so far was just the cavalry.

Balinor:"Remind me gran, how many men did you think the Reach lords have?"

Gran:"Ten thousand."

Balinor:"Well, given the length of the army, I would say there is fourth thousand men, minimum."

Gran:"how do you know?"

Balinor:"Simple, look how long it took them to get here, three weeks, almost four, if it were ten thousand then should have been here about two weeks ago, even with bad weather. So, the bad news for use there is forty thousand men about to besiege us, a strong castle guarded by five hundred and fifty men."

Stannis:"We have an advantage; we hold the defensible a winding path of stakes, strong thick walls with many murder holes to rain arrows and bolts down onto them, and the weather will aid us while hindering them."

Gran nodded as a lone rider came towards us head of the rest of the army, in his hands was a flag to parlay, as he slowed his horse before he could get too close to the stake ditch.

Balinor:"looks like the warden of the south wishes to speak with me."

I turned and began to make my way down towards one of the towers, I was going to make my way down the stairs, when in the towers I looked at one of the men who stood at one of the wheels needed to open the portcullis in front of the gate.
