"You'll wait for me right?"

"Of course. I love you."

I hoped that after eight months Simon kept that promise. I moved to Canada temporarily to watch over my mother as she slowly faded away. Now that's she's gone, I finally get to go back to London and see Simon again. I couldn't wait for this moment. Instead of trying to maintain a long distance relationship, we "broke up". This way we wouldn't have a relationship to hurt. We promised each other that we wouldn't date anyone until I got back.

I stood in front of the door, building up the courage to knock. I don't why this is so hard for me to do but it is. I looked at the heartbeat tattoo on my wrist. Simon has a matching one on his opposite wrist. I eventually knocked on the door. Vik answered the door.

"(Y/N)?" he asked shocked. I nodded my head.

"Yep, I'm home!" I said glowing in excitement.

"Oh, um, come inside." Vik didn't seem happy I was back. In fact he seemed nervous. "Simon! Someone's here to see you!" Shortly after Vik called him down, he stood leaning over the banister. His eyes widened.

"(Y-Y/N)?" Simon stuttered. I just showed him my tattoo. "Oh my god. You're back..." I was halfway up the stairs, with butterflies in my stomach, when another girl came up behind him.

"Babe, who's this?" she asked. My heart felt violated of it's trust.

"She's, (Y/N), my ex girlfriend." Simon hesitated.

"Yeah, ex, now I don't have to say we're done. I can say we're never getting back together. Unlike you promised!" I shouted. "Simon you said you'd wait for me! I gave all of my love to you! And this is how you repay me?!" I cried.

"I'm sorry. It-" I cut Simon off.

"No. Don't even try and save yourself. I obviously don't mean anything important to you." I sobbed. I turned around and left. Simon didn't try to stop me, or say anything, instead he just let me go.
