*Mummy Minter + Daddy Zerk= Baby Eth

You see, on this planet - in a neighboring galaxy - everyone has superpowers. No, they are not superheroes or super villains. Say that to an inhabitant and you will be exiled into space. It's quite offensive.

It's approaching that six to 12 month old period for baby Ethan. This is a very important time for both the parents and their baby. The challenge isn't just to teach your child how to walk or talk like normal earthlings, this is the time a baby starts to develop their powers.

"Simon!!!" Josh screams running into the kitchen. His feet pound against the wooden floors loudly. Simon jumps almost spilling the pot full of water. (He's going to cook pasta ;D)

"What?!" He is pissed by Josh's sudden screaming.

"It's, Ethan."

"Wh- What happened? What's wrong? What did you do!" Simon goes into panic mode.

"Babies! Powers! Coming out!" Josh fumbles on his words

"Josh this isn't the time!"

"I know what Ethan's superpower is!" Josh finally says. Simon couldn't tell if he felt proud of his baby boy or terrified for his own safety.

Developing a superpower is very scary. The parents don't know what the attribute will be and the baby has no way of controlling it.

"What is it?"

"Invisibility." Is all Josh says. "So, like, I don't know where he is right now..."

"Excuse me?!" Simon shrieks. "Our precious child is crawling around this house - He's probably drowning in the toilet! Quick baby proof all the parts of  the house we didn't!" Simon leaves the water to boil. He begins rushing around the house like a headless chicken.

"Now I know how my parents felt. I kept throwing objects across rooms." Josh's power is telekinesis. "Apparently I almost killed my brother when I sent knives flying at him."

"Same! Sort of. I almost killed my dad by freezing him to a wall for a solid eight hours." Simon's power is ice.

The two tried their best to find young Ethan. Heck knows when he'll randomly reappear.

"Why couldn't it have been the power to harness bees or rainbows?" Simon wishes for something less difficult.

"Hey, rainbows can blind you." Josh sasses. Josh walks around to the stairs to start searching on the second level. "I found him!" Ethan is sat at the too of the staircase.

"Grab him before he goes invisible again." Simon jogs over. Josh reaches out and grabs him using his power. He lifts Ethan up and gently brings him down. "Thank God he's okay." Simon lets out a sigh of relief. "I'm gonna put the noodles in the pot. Brb."

"Okay." Josh smiles, watching his husband walk away. He looks back at Ethan who is still under Josh's possession. But he isn't

"SIMON I LOST HIM HE WAS JUST IN MY HANDS well technically floating BUT STILL I DONT KNOW WHERE HE IS!!!" Josh screams. Then Ethan became visible again. "Oh. NEVER MIND. He just went invisible."

"Don't scare me like that shithead." Simon curses. Josh pouts so Simon pokes his nose. "Let's take him to his room and put him in his playpen so we know where he is." Simon takes his baby from Josh's control. "Josh get the milk from the fridge and bring it up." he orders.

Simon places Ethan in his confined box. He makes a weird cute baby noise at Simon.

"Aw, you're so adorable aren't you baby Eth?" Simon coos. "You would be cuter if you weren't giving me and daddy heart attacks."

Mummy Minter gives the baby a pacifier. He almost smiles through the binky. Ethan suddenly crawls through the playpen netting.

"Uh.." Simon says. He looks up to see Josh had seen the same thing.

"What the heck?! He can phase too?!" Josh is about to jump out the window.

"Don't worry. We can-"

The tiny human abruptly fell through the floor.

"Shit he went thROUGH THE FLOOOOOOR!" Simon could've been heard anywhere in the universe.

The two men rush downstairs. Both look in the kitchen and see their child padding over to the boiling, burning water. Simon, in a panic, reaches out and in an icy blast, freezes Ethan and the pot.

"You froze our baby!" Josh exclaims. Simon makes a fist, crushing the ice and freeing Ethan. Josh once again takes his kid. "What are we supposed to do?! Am I supposed to hold him until he's old enough to control himself?"

"Yes."

"No." Josh counters.

"Just, hold him for now while I contact help. My mother will know what to do." Simon crosses his arms. He struts away to the phone in another room. "Don't loose Ethan again, Joshua!"

"I'll try." Josh goes over to the couch and takes a seat. "You are one tricky baby you know that?" Josh remarks. Ethan wiggles in the air. "Hehe you look like a worm. Cutie."

Later, when Simon finally got an answer out of mom after she interrogated him on he didn't call her on her birthday, Simon came to find Josh and tell him how to keep Ethan safe.

However, Josh was asleep on the couch and Ethan... well... he was missing again.

"Fuck."
