I sat downstairs with all of the boys minus Harry and Vik. My boyfriend, Simon, was upstairs working. Tobi and Ethan sat on the couch playing FIFA while I was behind them along with Josh and JJ. It was pouring outside when the sound of thunder boomed. I jumped in my seat.

"Whoa. (Y/N) are you alright?" Josh asked setting a hand on my shoulder.

"Uh, yes?" I lied. You see, I have astraphobia. The fear of lightning and thunder. No one knows except for my family and Simon. I turned around to see lightning flash, followed by a rumble shortly after. My breathing quickened a little bit.

"Are you sure?" Josh reassured. I just nodded. Another loud thunder sounded sending me out of my seat. I needed, wanted, Simon.

"What's wrong? Is it the storm?" JJ asked, laughing a little at the end. Of course they would find my fear silly. Just as I was about to go up the stairs for Simon, he was already sprinting down them.

"Baby are you alright?" Simon asked out of breath. I shook my head and wrapped my arms around his waist. He hugged me back bringing me closer. Tobi paused the game, concerned. More thunder boomed, louder and longer, as the storm was now right over us. I began to hyperventilate.

"Wait? Are seriously scared of a little storm?" JJ began laughing. I buried my face in Simon's chest now embarrassed.

"What, do you think the lightning is just going to crash through the house?" Ethan joined in. The memories played back in my head.

"Sounds can't even touch you." Josh chuckled. I whimpered as I saw the lightning flash behind me.

"Oh no five minutes of the sky flashing!" Tobi over exaggerated.

"Guys leave her alone it's a legit fear." Simon defended.

"How so?" Ethan asked. I shook my head not wanting to speak. So Simon explained the story instead for me.

"When she was a little kid, while her mum drove her and brother down the road during a storm once, the lightning had hit a tree next to them sending it crashing down in front of their car. They almost crashed into it." Simon finished.

"Oh wow. Sorry, (Y/N)." JJ apologised.

"Yeah, sorry, I had no idea." Josh added.

"I-It's okay. You didn't know." I told them. Simon then carried me up to his bedroom as I clung onto him tightly.

"Shh, baby, you're gonna be alright." Simon hushed as he set me on his bed. I quickly scrambled under the covers. Simon joined me underneath, wrapping his arms around me. I turned to face him and put my head in the crook of his neck. "I'm right here. It's not going to happen again. That was freak incident." Simon tried to calm me. I soon fell asleep to his soothing words and him rubbing my back.
