"She just led me on!" you groan, leaning back in the passenger seat of Jessica's car. The frustration in your voice is palpable.
"I feel like every girl you go after leads you on," Jess says with an eye roll, her tone dripping with exasperation.
You turn to Bella in the back seat. "Why do straight girls want to be with gay girls so badly?"
Jessica laughs and shakes her head. "What would Bella know about gay girls?"
You look at her and turn back in your seat. "What would you know about them, Jessica?" you tease, a smirk playing on your lips.
Bella looks down and stays quiet. No one knew she was gay, and she didn't plan on telling anyone.
You catch her eye through the rearview mirror, your smirk widening. "If you ever wanted to know about them, call me."
Bella's eyes widen, and she hides her smile as her face turns red. Jess and you laugh and turn up the music, the tension in the car easing.
When you arrive at the school, Jess is the first one out. "Where is she going so quickly?" you ask, watching her hurry away.
"Mike," Bella says, still blushing.
You grab your bag and open your door. "I was serious, you know." You look in the mirror at her again before getting out of the car.
She stays in the car, frozen, as she watches you walk towards the school.
Bella: After school. My house.
As you read the message, you stop walking, looking up and smirking at the car.
