It was a beautiful day out, a day where you could train outside or go for a stroll through the city. Perhaps Anakin could do both, and so he did.

He had an easy week, he was told to rest but he refused too, it was that stubborn nature of his. It got in the way of most of his work. All he wished for was to be something unimaginable, he wanted to be respected from his peers. He had so much expectations to live up to it was difficult to put an end to his racing thoughts.

Anakin knew he was lucky in his position, being able to be trained at such an older age than the rest of the padawans. It just clouded his mind too much, he didn't want to speak to anyone about this. He'd have to keep it to himself. As per usual.

He walked across the youngling grounds outside, hearing a bunch of noise of happy laughter, it was a painful reminder of the lack of company he had as a kid.

He did think though of the one person he cared for at the time, his mother. He imagined how much older she would look now and how he wished sometimes to return back to that time. Where his mom would be waiting for him at home, with her affectionate smile and her lovely cooking. He shook his head, coming back to the present time where he realised he stopped walking.

He had to stop living in that mindset anymore, his mother wasn't here, and he was, that was the reality of it that he had to get used to.

A sweet voice broke his melancholic mind state.

"Next time I'll bring you all the colourful flowers you can dream of, I promise."

Anakin froze, he knew her, his first crush, well, his forever and only crush. What was she doing here?

He viewed the scene before him, he could only see the back of her head, her hair had grown much more, she still looked as gracious as before. Her posture straight and attentive as one of the younglings held her hands in there's .

Anakin didn't think she could get more beautiful than before, he wanted to get a closer glimpse of her, but it wouldn't be possible with all the younglings surrounding her and some even standing guard in front of her.

"Hey! Y/n, look! Watch this." One of the many younglings who was trying to use the force to lift up a rock tried to get her attention.

She turned her head to the side just for Anakin to get a look at her- he felt his heart race as he took the first look at her since he was younger.

The gleam in her eye never left and the smile that brightened the whole room- she was the most precious being he'd ever seen.

She placed her hand over her mouth with her mouth wide open in surprise, just to please the younglings with a smile, Anakin loved how selfless she was, he'd do anything for her to smile over at him.

"How did you do that! I must speak to the higher ups from this unknown witchcraft!"

She slowly rose as if she was about to leave to proceed with her "threat" when some of the younglings ran whilst the other ran over to her apologising which she shook her head with a laugh.

"I'm only kidding, your secrets safe with me."

Anakin's whole agenda was pushed out of his mind, his main focus solely on her. She probably didn't even know who he was anymore, it's been years anyways.

But he was still hopeful. He really wished to go over and start talking to her, but what would he even say. His mind encountered lots of possibilities of questions and answers. He tried to push away the doubts but they still lingered.

"Time to eat, now it is."

Yoda stood a few paces away, he held authority but a kind smile as all the younglings sprinted away with the sound of food.
