We approach my house after our hunt, laughing together at how similar Rose and I were. Rose loved video games just as much as I did, she loved the woods, she had my exact same eye color, we hunted down animals the same way, and a lot more.

My siblings had both respected that I preferred to be called Calla, and it made me really happy that they respected that. They both seemed to be really kind and caring towards me, even though Rose's first approach wasn't all that welcoming.

"Hey, Calla, you should booty call your mate over so he can meet his brother and sister in-law," Daxton said with a wink.

"Sure," I say giggling. We had stopped on my porch, and I pulled my phone out to call Alan. I dialed his number, and after a few rings, he picks up.

"Hey babe," he says.

"Hey, Alan, wanna come over and meet my brother and sister?" I ask him.

"At your house?" he asks.

"Yes, at my house," I answer, giggling. I glance at Rose and Dax to see that they are both staring at me excitedly, smiling.

I hear Alan laugh. "Okay, I'm on my way," he says.

"Yay! Okay, see you in a bit!" I cheer, and hang up.

"He's on his way!" I say, excitedly.

"Yay!" Dax and Rose cheer.

While we're waiting for Alan to show up, we sit on my porch telling each other things about ourselves. Some things Dax didn't know about Rose, and some things Rose didn't know about Dax. We all laugh together as Daxton tells the story about when he was a year old, he would try to eat the pages out of books.

Alan's mom's car pulls up in front of my house, and Alan steps out of the car.

"Have fun you guys!" Mrs. Reynalds yells out, and drives off, leaving an embarrassed Alan. Alan walks up to the porch, and sits down next to me.

"Hey you guys," Alan greets Dax and Rose, putting a protective arm around me.

"Hey," they greet back. I move out of Alan's arm to introduce him to Dax and Rose.

"So, Alan, this is my twin sister Rose, and my older brother Daxton," I say, pointing to Rose, then to Dax.

"Hi, you can call me Dax," Dax says to Alan, and reaches out his hand to him. Alan shakes his hand, grasping his hand strongly, and greets him back.

"Hey, Dax, I'm Alan," he said, smiling. They pull back their hands, and Alan goes to shake Rose's hand.

"I'm Alan," he says, and Rose shakes his hand, softly.

"Rose," she returns, trying to sound tough. They retreat their hands, and Alan places his hand behind me, supporting his body up as he sits down.

"So, what do you guys wanna do?" I ask.

"Let's play truth or dare," Dax says.

"Let's do it," Alan says, laughing.

"Yeah!" Rose says, excitedly clapping her hands together.

"Okay, you first Calla," Alan says.

"Okay," I start, scanning over everyone to see who should be my first victim. My gaze stops on Alan.

"Alan, truth or dare," I say.

"Dare, duh," he says. I smirk.

"Since Rose and Dax haven't seen your other form, I dare you to shift, right here, right now," I say, smugly. He sighs, and checks his surroundings to make sure nobody except our small circle was watching. Alan gets down on all fours, and quickly shifts into his handsome fox.

I hear Rose gasp, and Dax say under his breath, "No way." Alan shakes his fur to get used to the feeling, and stretches his hind leg around to scratch behind his right ear. I look at his fox, and man, he was just as pretty as he was on the day I first saw him.

His bright red fur glowed brightly in the sunlight. His black paws cutely patted the ground as he shifted around on each paw, getting to a comfortable stance.

He saw Rose and Daxton staring at how good he looked, so he decided to show off a bit more. He waved his tail around cutely, and sat down adorably on the concrete of my house's front porch.

"He's a good looking fox," Rose says, and Dax nods his head in agreement.

"I know, right? He's cute too," I say, pulling him up to me, and hugging him. His muzzle nuzzles into the crook of my neck, and that makes me blush and pull him closer into me.

"Aww," Daxton and Rose cooed.

Alan moved away from me, and shifted back into his human form just to kiss me on the cheek, making me blush harder.

"Aww that's so cute! I wish I had my mate," Rose coos. I only giggle, and Alan continues the truth or dare game.

"Okay... Dax! Truth or dare?" Alan asks Daxton, trying to sound dramatic.

"Truth!" Daxton says. I could tell Alan already had a dare set for him, and Alan hums while he tries to think. While Alan is thinking, someone opens the front door; it was Mother.

She had a worried look on her face, like she did earlier, only she was hiding it better. She looked down at me, then Alan.

"Hey Alan," she greets him.

"Hey Mrs. White," he greets back, smiling. Mother looks at me again, and motions me to come inside.

This can't be good. I thought.

I stand up, walk inside into the living room, and sit down on a chair where mother had motioned me to sit down at. I warily look to my mom and dad, and they looked each other, both had a partially worried look.

"So, Calla dear, your mom and dad have spoke to me about if it would be better off if you lived with them, or if you should stay with me," Mother started, tears began to fill up her eyes. She struggled to keep a smile on her face. "We agreed that it would be better if you stayed with your real mom," she said sadly, holding back her tears. I felt tears coming into my eyes as well.

"That's it? You're just gonna let me go? After thirteen years of my life, raising me and teaching me things, you're just gonna give me up like this?" I ask her, beginning choking up.

"Honey, I know, but it's better for you to live with someone who understands you and what you're feeling. It would only be for the best. If you stay here, you can't flourish. And besides, there's really nothing I can do about it. Your mom has your birth certificate, and she wants to have you back with her. You understand?" Mother asked, walking closer to me, and I could see how hard she was trying to hold back from crying. I noticed how hard I was trying as well.

I only look over at my mom and dad, and they have sad faces. The smell of sadness filled the room like the aroma of cookies baking. Sadness smelled like a rain puddle in a grassy land to me, and I couldn't stand it.

"We're giving you two days to pack up your stuff, and you'll have everything over to their house by Sunday afternoon. So that gives you today and tomorrow to pack everything," Mother says, and I pull her in for a huge hug.

"Thank you for everything, Mother," I whisper. Tears were now falling down my cheeks. I didn't care anymore. It just wasn't fair to Mother and Randy. They had spent many years raising me, and teaching me many things. I couldn't see myself living with any other parents, Mother and Randy were my parents. They cared about me.

I stand up and walk towards my bedroom door, glaring at mom and dad as I walk past them, open my bedroom door, and slam the door shut behind me.

It wasn't fair. It wasn't fair.

I look through all of my stuff, figuring out what I'm going to pack first. I notice my small pile of stuffed animals, and rummage around in the pile for a bit.

I pick up my old cat stuffed animal that Alan gave me on my seventh birthday. I hold it tight to my chest, and cry into its fur. I flop myself into my bed and curl up under my bed sheets, sobbing with my kitty.

It wasn't fair.
