Aarushi's POV

I just hope rohan is lying and if he is not, I am not going to spare Aadi. All these days, it was just part of a bet for him. No this can't be true? But the confidence in Rohan's words is scaring me. Why would he even lie? But how can I forget he is Myra's brother.

I enter the crowd of people and everything disappears when I see aadi. His smile was all that mattered in that moment. Ugh. Stop simping over a jerk like him. Aarushi.

I see some people standing near the principal's office. And then comes Avinash out of the office grinning.

"Work done." He says.

"What do you mean?"

"The names you texted yesterday? Making them suffer."

"I was JOKING!" I reply shocked by his antics.

"Chill. They don't even know that you were the reason behind their punishment." He says grinning.

"Yaar. Tu hi mera bhai hai." I say happily.

"Saiyaan nhi toh bhaiya sahi." He jokes.

"Kuch bhi. By the way, do you like talk to Aadi and his friends?" I question.

"Yeah."

"So like do you have any idea about the bet?"

"What bet?"

"Nevermind."

"Look I need to go, my crush just arrived." He said handing me the flag poles in his hand.

Ouch. My hand. He could have given it properly. "Ahh." Before the poles could slip, someone caught it. I look at their eyes. Aadi.

His brown eyes staring deep into mine. I did not look away, neither him. Suddenly I gained my senses and broke our eye contact.

"Your hand__

He began to say but I cut him. "It's fine. Nothing happened." I try to take the poles from but he did not bulge. "Ouch." I screamed as he grabbed my hand.

"You are not so good at lying." He says.

"Everyone isn't like you." I say and he looked confused or maybe hurt. Why do I care.

"Keep this in the storage." He gives the poles to his friends and turns to me. "You are coming to the nurse's office."

"I am not. Go to hell." I whisper yell. Of course I don't want teachers listening us.

"Look Aarushi. I am not in the mood to argue."

"Ha toh mai jaise roj plan karke aati hu na, Aaj aadi ke sath bahut argue karungi." I sarcastically replied. I could see him messing his own hair in frustration. I love it when he does this. No. No. I don't love anything about him. Ugh. Stupid Aadi.

"Harkaton se toh aesa hi lagta hai."

"Shut up." I reply.

"Don't test my patience, Aarushi." He states. Anger evident in his eyes but his eyes not ready to leave my hand.

"I am not scared of you. Don't show me that look of yours." It was a big fat lie. I am scared but he does not need to know. I try to walk away but he again blocks my way. Nakchada.

"If you don't come with me to the medical room, I going scream and tell about this to everyone. I very well know you hate attention." He speaks. Ugh.

"Fine." Was all I said before we made our way to the medical room.

The nurse examined my hand and then looked at me. "Your hand is seriously injured." She says.

"No. Please. Do something, put a spray or ointment. I have lot of work to do. Even mid terms are approaching."

"Aarushi, calm down." Aadi says as I turn to look at him. His words were actually effective. "Please." He added. I look at his eyes, filled with care and concern. He is so good then why would he do that to me? He won't, I am sure.

After getting my hand checked, we both go to our class. No word was exchanged and yet it felt many unsaid things were said when our eyes met. I sit on my desk and see him so far from me. I miss our small banters where we would roast each other and have fun. It was fun around him. And now it feels awfully wierd without him. I don't even feel like sitting in my class. I get up and and just say I need to go. I mean you surely have some benefits in being a part of student council.

I go up in the basement and I find all the captains there. "Knew it." I mutter to myself. This basically is 'Captains ka aada.'

"What's going on?" I ask stepping inside.

"Some teachers day preparations." Rhea, one of the captain replied. Some were applying coffee on  the paper. Some burning the paper. I chuckle.

"Who needs help?" I ask.

"Me." Everyone replies in unison. I chuckle and sit with one of the captain for burning the paper. We were doing this to give it a vintage effect.

To the other side of the basement, Sports captain was handling dance practice. Everyone was engrossed in their work when we heard Avinash scream. We looked up and everyone burst out into laughter. He had coffee all over his pants. Cherry on top, it was just the start of the day and we had a meeting with our principal.

I peeked from the window of the basement when my eyes found Aadi. He was out here playing cricket with the other class. This guy literally cannot stay in the class. I don't understand, why don't teachers notice? Taking how famous he is, his absence should be noticed easily.

~

I step out of the principal's office. My eyes heavy. It's exausting to be in there. I just want to go home and sleep.

"Aarushi, you're here finally." Rohan says. Ugh. I am not ready for all this.

"What do you have to say Rohan?"

"I just have to show video and that would clear all your thoughts."
