Aarushi
I was too tired. All I needed was him but she had to interrupt.
I massage my temples, ready for all the drama that was about to come.
She walks in like she owns it, like the whole goddamn world is her's.
"Did I interrupt something?" Her voice laced with fake innocence, lips curved into a smirk. She loves ruining things.
Abhi tak Aarushi ke sath pala nhi pada na.
"Yes." I snap, rising to my feet. "You absolutely did. It's better if you leave."
Her expression changes, eyes flicker. She didn't expect me to talk back. But I am done staying quiet.
Her eyes move to Aadi.
"Well, I need to talk to Aadi."
"No you don't." I step infront of Aadi and I could definitely feel him smirk. Asshole. He is the one who created the problem.
My eyes are sharp. She is not getting past me.e
"How dare you." She snaps raising her hand to hit me. Poor move. Bachpan se mummy ke sath serials Mai yehi dekha hai
I stop her wrist mid air.
"Don't you fucking dare." I warn. My voice low and powerful. My grip on her hand firm.
"This feels like a typical serial." I hear Aadi say. I turn back with frustration.
"Shut up."
Silence. Heavy silence.
She stares at me like she is seeing me for the first time. Like she didn't expect me to fight back.
I am done. Done being polite.
Her arm trembles slightly in my grip and she steps back.
She is the one that started this. And I won't be the one backing down.
"Now. If you would excuse us." I smile sarcastic enough to make her leave.
She stromed off the classroom as her bubble is broken.
I turn to face my stupid boyfriend.
"I hate drama but you my love, live around people that are no less."
He brushes his hand through his hair smiling like a maniac.
"What?" I ask. His smile widens.
"You called me 'my love'. You are mad at me but you still chose to call me love. Not just 'love' But my love."
"Stop living in delusion." I snap, my voice colder.
I didn't want a response. I turn around to leave when his fingers wrap around my wrist.
Not harsh. Not forceful just enough to make me stop.
"Let's start over, Aarushi." Aadi says pleading.
"Start over?" I turn to face him.
"Yes. Tonight at 7."
My eyes shot up, eyebrows raised.
"A date?" I ask.
"Yes. A real one." His lips curve into a smile.
"You think a dinner is gonna make things right?" I sigh.
He steps closer.
"No. It's a chance. Just you and me. No interruptions, no games and no lies." He says, his voice low and firm. "I owe you that much."
