Aarushi

He was coming back today and honestly, I couldn't be more happier. It was a month since we actually met and I was dying to see him. His win added fuel to my excitement.

I couldn't wait to wrap my arms around him and tell him how proud I am. He deserved this win.

I was still tucked inside my blanket, scrolling through our pictures, each one making me miss him even more.

My phone buzzed and ofcoure, it was my best friend, Aditi.

"Aarushi." She said, voice rushed and scared. "Where are you?"

"Hey, Calm down. What's wrong?" I asked trying not to overthink. Her voice sounded something was really up.

"Come down. I am outside your house."

Without another question I jumped down my bed, missed some stairs on my way and rushed outside. Aditi was always the carefree one and if she is stressed that means something is terribly wrong. I didn't quite had the time to overthink a situation.

I took sigh of relief when I saw her, "Are you okay, Aditi?"

"I am." She nodded. "But our boyfriends aren't."

"What?!" I exclaim. "Stop kidding, Aditi." I for sure know she is lying, it's one of her pranks. Yes, Aadi is okay. I don't know if I was saying this to prove her wrong or maybe to convince myself that my boyfriend is safe.

"Their bus met with a small accident, nothing major but Aadi is injured a little." My head snaps up.

"How?" Was all I managed to say as my vision blurred a little. "Where is he?"

"Hospital." She whispered. "Some of them have little injuries."

I hope Aditi's LITTLE injury is actually little. It took everything in me to not cry and control myself.

"Let's go." I say as I take her vehicle Keys.

"Where?" She asked following me behind.

"Hospital, you dumbo." My hands had started trembling, eyes already red. If it had been a little injury, Aadi would have informed me.

The moment we reached the hospital, my eyes searched for Aadi. I just wanted to know, needed to know that he was fine. I didn't care how desperate I looked because all that mattered was him.

My heart was thudding in my chest, every worst scenario making their way into my damn mind.

Finding the room he was admitted in felt harder than it actually was... and the whole time my mind refused to calm down.

After a while of searching, we finally reached Karan, he had bandage wrapped around his hand.

"Where's Aadi?" I asked. I knew I should've asked about him first but I couldn't think of anything other than my boyfriend.

He pointed to the room infront of us, I wasted no time and entered only to find,

Aadi, wrapped in bandages. He was conscious, yes. But the sight infront of me made my heart break. I couldn't hold back my tears anymore.

"Aadi..." I whispered. The moment his eyes found me, a wide grin formed on his face.

This Idiot.

That was it. I didn't think, I just ran and threw my arms around him like I had been waiting for this. He hugged me back instantly, wrapping his arms around my waist.

A month. A damn month without him and this is how I see him. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't stop crying. His shirt was soaked with my tears.

"Sweetheart... Stop crying. I am okay." He said caressing my head like a child.
