Chapter Twenty Four

Aarushi

Being in charge isn't always interesting. Its hectic. I am holding a lot of files and so is Avinash. I look at him to see his annoyed frown turning into a smile. His crush. She is here. No. No. Not again. He turns to face me with a wide grin.

"Hold this. I'll be back." He dumps everything on me and runs away.

"Please don't fall." I request no one in general. I stumbled in an attempt to catch all the things. But this weight starts to feel less. I look at the person to find my constant saviour, Aadi.

"Thank you so much, yet again." I exclaim happily to which he just chuckles. "Give me a minute, I'll find someone to carry these things for me." I was about to go when his words stopped me.

"I can help you." He casually says. Yeah. The classic backbencher helping the head girl.

"Stop joking around. You want to help in school work?" I question clearly ready for a solid no.

"Nah. I would never do anything for this shitty school but I want to help YOU." I slightly blush at his sentence. I know I shouldn't buy his words but I can't do anything. I give him a warm smile.

"Follow me."

"Yes mam." He mumbles and I chuckle. I go around everywhere with aadi following me. Almost half the work was done and Aadi was undoubtedly a great help. He joked and made fun here and there but never left me alone. And I was grateful for it.

"Aadi." I find ms. Williams exclaim. "You are helping her? Oh my God. I can't believe my eyes. Is it really you Aadi?" I couldn't help but burst out laughing and he just rolled his eyes. "Well done, aarushi! How did you do this?"

"Exactly aarushi, how did you do this." Aadi whispers near my ears making me shiver. He looked at me with his classic smirk. "Never knew this was the effect I had on you."

"Respectfully, shut up." I whisper back. "Mam, we'll leave." I excuse myself and start walking near the office. There it was. My favourite place. 'The prohibited for students' garden. The beauty of this place has always made me awe. It is filled with colourful flowers and greenery all around. How I wish I could take a round but oh it is our Miss principal's private chill place.

Aadi's Pov

She stood there looking at the garden in awe. Her smile so geniune and pure that I can't help but fall. Everything about her is beautiful. Everytime I look into her eyes it feels like I am drowing in a ocean of emotions. She is like a mystery and I find new layer everytime. The more I stop myself the more I fall for her. My day doesn't end well if we don't have a cute banter. I have started to crave her presence. Her innocence is such that it can even change a person like me.

I LIKE HER...

I am sure of it!

But I can't confess this to her. She would never accept a boy like me. If I let out my feelings then I may ruin what we have.

I thought all of this is bullshit but every time she looks up at me smiling, I doubt my own thoughts. She teaches me like no teacher ever could.

"Aadi, what wrong?" Aarushi asks pulling me out my thoughts. How do I tell you?

"Nothing. You wanna go in there?"

"We are not allowed." She says with a sigh.

"Doesn't apply on me." I say. "Come I'll show you the secret route."

"No. We'll get caught." She voices out her fear. "It's better if you go, I can do the rest alone."

"Come on Aarushi. Enjoy your life. You live once." I try to convince her but she glares at me. "Look we won't get caught. Everything is on me."

"But_

"Don't you trust me?"

"I do. But I cannot __

"Chill. I am here. Nothing will happen." I try to assure her but she still looked skeptical. "Stop overthinking now, will you?"

I lead her to the route we figured for that so called prohibited garden. I enter the garden but as I turn around, I find her standing outside.

"I can't. There must be cameras. I can't risk it. I am sorry." She stutters as she takes a step back. Her innocence is adorable. It is time I make her enjoy the hell out of life.

"The camera is on the other side, come on. Nothing will happen. Trust me." She takes a quick look at surrounding and unsurely enters in. Finally.

"This is just breathtaking." She exclaims and my lips curve into a smile.

"Isn't it? The view in front of me." I reply clearly staring at her.

"What?"

"The flowers behind you."

"Ohh." I chuckle at her reaction. She indeed is the cutest.

"You wanted to say something?" She asks turning around to face me.

"Um I __

"What is happening here?" Our principal exclaims.
